Any sign of 1of3 and Simno ??

Nope, but then again when was the last time we saw Simno on the old board?
I'm still thinking about Tera Patrick covered in yoghurt and a severe spoon shortage :p
Anyways, isnt it officially Australia Day now? I only know this cos my wee Aussie mate Amy has been going on about it all week, tomorrow will consist of a few VBs before heading out to our usual Rock/Metal club...where we shall request that at least AC/DC is played in her honour
Another question, how come we're always at the bottom of the last page even after a new post is put up in this thread?
Its ok, I kept looking in the football topic but it seems we're in the 'Off Topics', 'No Sports Allowed!' section...
My bad

That depends, unless u are down here the VB is expensive. Do u have Carlton Draught? or Boags or Crown Lager? if u have find those ones they are better and should be alittle cheap in the hip pocket!

Good to hear that Simno's doing ok and at least we all know he's still alive.
1of3 did he tell you if he made the American Football team up at Lancaster? He was thinking about it way back at the start of the Uni year, I only ask cos I think their team's scheduled to come up and play my old team's divisional rivals in Glasgow next month.
Andy if I see Simno lurking about in the next few weeks I will be sure to ask him about college football.
"u can agree to disagree, but nothing beats a hot italian woman!" You talking about Carmella again Aussie ?
"and now letting our top scorer sign for Birmingham for Half a mill ...." London is he any good ? I am a Birmingham season ticket holder

Oh no , not Birmingham City :(
We reserve one of our best chants for Birmingham!
But DJ , yeh he's OK but got a lot of potential .Came from non league and has only played 30 times in the league and cup for us this year but scored 12 goals, some great finishes too.
He 's lightning fast but still quite small , so is easily pushed off the ball , but he is working on his strength .... reminds me of JJ Arrington in that way !!except he has a lot of heart .
MArtin Allen was gutted to see him go , and he has done wonders with us last couple of years..
Not sure how he will cope in the Premiership , would have thought he will come on as a sub when defenders are tiring .Would love him to stick a couple past Chelsea.
Cheers for the money though! £500000 is nothing for you guys im sure , but for us , thats survival for another couple of years...

Well my predicton is the Steelers will shut Alexander down and Bettis will we be a flop too. Willie Parker will run for 150 yards and Big Ben will throw 3 TD passes

Oh well, me thinks you were mistaken here 1of3...
Alexander got 95 yards, Parker was restricted to 93 yards - however most of them were from the 75 yard TD run, Bettis may have got only 43 yards but they were important yards and kept the clock ticking over - so no flop there
Still can't believe that Randle El play, he got a TD pass and Big Ben got none?
What a Superbowl tho, I thought it was a pretty gritty game, not a classic, but entertaining? Great to see the smile on Bettis's face tho...he thoroughly deserves the ring!!!
On top of that I won our rival team's grand raffle prize...meal for 10 at a very nice Curry House in Glasgow...all in all a successful evening!!!

Yes it kind of spoiled the victory in a way. I still think we would have pulled through though. The Scots were awesome against the Frenchies in the opener. Italy put up a brave fight against England too.
I think Wales needed that win and I agree they probably would have done enough. I just hope France get it together in time to play England

Didn't the Italians do well against the English last saturday though? They were even ahead at the beginning of the first half. They're definitely improving.

Well we'll see what happens at the end of the 6 Nations anyways, what's the bet Wales come back into contention.

Plus we play you guys next season so I thought it might be interesting to get to know a bit more about the team.

I like Jake. I really hope he steps up another gear next year and proves the doubters wrong.
General Discussions on the Bronco board has become a bit of a joke at the moment with a huge rift between Jake supporters and Jake haters, it's like we have two separate cults there - the St Jake cult and the Satan Jake cult. I tend to avoid it as it's become a real bore.

What a game, what passion from the crowd, willing the boys on. We deserved the win due to the immense defensive effort alone me thinks?

Right ok boys since no-one else seems to have much to say I thought I would tell you how good the gig I went to last night was.
Trivium supported by God Forbid and Mendeed
The gig was absolutely fantastic...Matt Heafy's voice was a little fuckd but he did apologise at the start and it really wasnt that noticable. The band managed to blow the left side stage amps in the middle of the set, which was hysterical, but the stage crew fixed it and they carried on through the rest of the set.
The best bit of the show was when they pulled a guy from the crowd and they launched into a cover of 'Master of Puppets' by Metallica...and the guy did all the vocals, very well too I may add.
Tonight I'm off to see the punk/rock band Yellowcard, bit of a change of pace, but it should be a good laugh.

hello all
Seems like everyone's been away or so for a bit
Personally ive been in hiding since we got beat by the Scots in the 6 Nations, now am well and truly underground after the French disaster.
Never seen England play so crap in any sport like they did yesterday , well, maybe the cricket a few times!
Aussie , was watching the SA one day international, what a game!
Nearly 900 runs in a one day game
So how good is the news we are getting the Edge...
anyone think we should try and organise our Superbowl party soon?? or am i getting over excited..

they can go for tackles, but because there are only 7 on the field, the teams are so spread out that all u have to do is find a whole and u've scored.
Rubbish sport!

Rugby 7s looks like a nightmare to play, way way too much fitness needed.
Id hate to get the ball with an open field and have to run 100 yards to score a try , sod that.
id probably drop it to avoid having to run all that way.

They will not! Australia cant play!
Italy could polish of England any day of the week!:toot: :bibl:
I disagree - I have a hard time supporting the English national team (as I do with their rugby team too). I disgaree with half of their selections and they allways seem to have at least 2 players I cant stand, not mentioning the manager ! But I dont believe the Italians look very strong going into the World Cup. Totti will be out as his leg is broken (barring a miracle comeback as he has stated he want to make the squad) and they dont seem to have a real playmaker this year. They havent replaced older established players with the same quality yet. I could be wrong but who knows.
Anyway dont you think its ludricous the amount of money Ericson gets as manager ? I am not on about his wages but the budget. He travels all around the world watching games, staying in 5 star hotels and flying first calss everywhere. Is this necessary ? Nearly all the games he goes to are on TV anyway. And I get really angry when I hear that the hotel England are staying in for the World cup is costing the FA £1.4m a night. Do they need to stay in that particular hotel ? which is one of the most expensive in the world ? Wouldnt they be better using some of that money to improve the game at lower levels ? How many astro turf pitches could that buy ? Also why are we paying for their wives to go to. All successful teams in World Cup history ban the wives and make players share rooms.
This World Cup seems like a jolly for those involved to me. I would love to say all will be forgiven if they win the trophy but I still think such a level of expenditure is wrong.

As for the Italian squad, some of the newer talent will be alright. our Defense i think is still one of the best going round. We just always have trouble upfront! which is so stupid seen as we have some of the best of the best in strikers.
As for Totti, he is normally a non factor, every major event he gets himself in trouble or suspended.
Ericson wont be fired as its already been annohjnced that he will leave the job immediately after the World Cup. The big debate at the moment is who will be his successor and whether he should be English or not. One man that is being mentioned is the Australian coach Hudink or however you spell it.
Italian players showed their mentality last night when an expeienced Juventus team were beaten, and well beaten in my opinion, by a very young Arsenal team.
I can only see one winner of the World Cup and thats Brazil

Yeah but Brazil is the obvious choice like always!!
Hundink might go to u guys. simply because u can offer him far more then what Soccer Australia can afford. and to be honest he seems to be the coach that can get any team to the big dance and even further!

Hey guys! I just had an idea. How about we distinguish ourselves from the Yanks? Change your title to "British Empire Member" (it's just a bit of fun, don't worry Aussies!) and pick yourself a title and add "of her majesty's british empire" to it. For example, I'm now Lance Corporal Simno of Her Majesty's British Empire. It'll distibguish us as the classy members of the board.
