How can you make such an ignorant comment like that.............all along the offensive line is to blame for this debacle......especially Leonard Davis....and to some degree Stepanovich...Yes you want Matt in but I am glad he also struggled just to prove to all of you who keep clamoring for Matt that it's not the QB that is the problem!!!!!!!

Leonard Davis was the #2 pick behind Mike Vick, and he sucks? Why would we draft him? He is a Big Lazy BASTAR.D! Cards Oline sucks and theirs nothing we can do about it but complain. Edge must be wondering why he came to Arizona, when he could be in Indi winning games.

I'm sure it is Matt job to lose at this point and I do hate to see Warner lose his starting job because our O-line is such a joke but that facts are, Matt has more mobility and that will give us our best chances to win. Most QBs must be able to pass and hand the ball off unless you play for the Cards. On the Cards the most important thing is being able to avoid 11 guys wearing a different colored jersey who are bearing down on you the instant the ball is snapped.
Everyone is so quick to blame Warner. How can you a judge either a QB or a RB behing that line ? That O Line should have been the priority during the offseason, then, if it had of been addressed with some big money FAs, you could say Warner sucks. I dont think its fair to lay any blame on his feet at the moment, and aslo perhaps everyone was too quick to dismiss JJ Arrington last season too.

The OL is draining the life out of the team... thats one thing that any logicial football person can see... sure Warner has made mistakes and Edge hasnt run the ball like he could or we want him to but if they were given more holes and time... we could possibly be atleast 3-2 or even 4-1 right now...
If you put Matt out there... its just going to be as bad for him and theres a big risk in ending his career before it even starts...
I was all for Matt after last game, But at this point I'm going to have to say that it doesn't matter. It will be good for him to get his "feet wet". Then hopefully next year we will have an o-line and this offence can really start rolling.

The OLine obviously stunk it up today, but Kurt did little to help them out. He is not getting rid of the ball quickly on first and second down passing plays, a simple dump off for 4 yards on 1st or 2nd down makes an easier conversion on 3rd. It just seems to me like this offense has no fire with Warner behind center. Also I am not going to blame the OLine for Warners inablility to get away from the center in a timely fashion, for some reason he gets stepped on and is hit by more pulling guards than any QB in the league. Really I think this thread is correct in that Warner is sucking the life out of this team, he just looked like a QB that didn't want to be out there today. He was scared of making a mistake and held on to the ball far too long. Bring on the Matt era, either way we probably end up picking in the Top 10 next season.

Matt did as well as could be expected. He was thrown into the shark tank. We were in a hole, the D was swarming and all hope was already lost. Just be thankful he wasn't injured.

Yhea I am not going to expect a miracle out of a rookie QB who is sent into blood infested waters, however the first play showed me something in that Matt simply threw a quick pass out to Larry for 5 yds. The whole game the Atlanta corners played off Fitz and Boldin and Warner didn't check into a single quick pass to them, ridiculous. Hopefully the fans are patient with Leinart, I think there are going to be struggles but in the end I think we are going to find that we won't have to worry about the QB position for the next dozen years.
Just be thankful he wasn't injured.
I'm thankful both our QB's weren't killed.

Warner DRAINED the life from this team. Now lets see if Matt can bring us back to life. I guarantee you, next week the oline will "LOOK" 100 % better just for the simple fact that Leinarts play will make it appear that way. Go ahead and flame me, but just watch and see.

Anytime you get behind like we did the oline will have defenses teeing off on them. Warner dug us a hole once again. With him out of the picture it will be different,,, you'll see.
First half the oline didn't look near as bad as the second half.

Did you see the open passes Warner missed to start the game. When I saw Warner miss those I knew this could be a long game. Oh and that long pass to Fitz should have been a TD, but the ball was underthrown and Fitz saved Warner with an awesome catch.

I'm sorry that sorry **** line will not make Matt look any better, he will probably get smacked like Warner did or worse because he is a rookie trying to make something with that O'line. There were times where they didn't even try to block, really pathetic.

Matt struggled because your brainiac coach put him in for Linebacker target practice...his first NFL game.
Warner struggles because he's not only playing behind a poor line, but he's a pocket QB who has ALWAYS held onto the ball too long throughout his entire career.
Bad line + old pocket QB who holds the football WAY too long = (you figure it out)

off of your chins and smell the coffee.
The Giant's o-line didn't get any better for having Eli in there; they and he sucked until they fixed the o-line (and he quit going with the plays the coach's were calling for him).
I hope Matt has a close personal relationship with Lloyd's of London because Denny is going to get him killed.
You brainiacs who think that a QB can check to a screen pass, just shut up.

And you're basing this off what him playing almost a half of football?

That's funny that you did that because I'd just reviewed an old thread and saw many of the same things. But people do change their minds. Matt has had some time now and it's a littler easier to evaluate the talents of both guys. Just the same, kudo's for you pointing this up.:football:

I'm basing this off that half plus preseason and more because Leinart hasn't done a **** thing this year and his inability to LEARN the offense and run it in a way that leads to any efficiency through the air. Go ahead and bring up last year. Talk about last year's O-Line while you are at it.

I get defensive when it comes to my team. This QB bashing is not good for the team, I don't really cares who starts within reason attacking ML the way he has been attacked on here this past week is NOT within reason.

I make no apologies. In fact, you have proved my point much more eloquently than I could of. And my point is, that no player is entitled to his position. Young or old, rookie or veteran, rich superstar or poor nobody, the Best Man Plays. Right now that is Warner.

What point is that? That you're a bandwagon fan and can't stick with player for more than 2 games. If that's the point you're exactly right I did prove it with this post.
Or that you have no idea about football because if you did then you would realize stability at QB is the most important thing to a football team. Here you called for the starting QB to be benched twice in less than a year. If that's the point, then again you're right I proved it again.

Dude, get a grip. No one is going to boo anyone off the field. The only one that can get him off the field will be the coach or himself. I don't think the fans have that much power. And if he is rattled by the boos (assuming they boo) he shouldn't be out there in the first place.
As far as holding anyone accountable goes, what do you have in mind?
Finally, if you are such a defender of Leinart, are you not also doubting his ability by assuming the fans will boo as a result of his play? something to ponder...

DUDE you weren't you here the other day where a post was started as to when the start the WE WANT WARNER chant? Or the second poster that said he'd boo if he started bad.
You "fans" are the ones that need to get a grip. I am not so much a fan of Leinart as I am the Cardinals and it is in their best interest not to give up on Leinart. And any fan that boos him in his 15th start against a good team is ignorant.
Any fan that boos any of their players is ignorant. It's like yelling at a family memeber in front of stranger you don't do. That's crap New York and Philly fans do. Want to be associated with them?

You say you are not much of a Matty fan but all I hear is Matty. A real fan will go with the best chance at winning on any given Sunday and it doesn't look like Leinart is best at that position...right now. No one is saying to boot the guy but it might be in his best interest to sloooow down a bit.
The fans have a right to boo bad playing. If a fan pays good money to watch a game, he has the right to boo. Let me explain, if you go to a concert to watch you favorite band play and realize that the singer is so wasted and can't sing through the show and cuts it short, wouldn't you boo or felt cheated for not getting your money's worth? Just in case you don't know, a boo is the opposite of applause , thus making it a form of expression on a group level. It's part of the game...Man. It's like letting the team know you don't approve as apposed to applauding as approval. I'm sure the team would much rather hear a boo than for each individual to express what they really feel....lighten up.

I don't know what you're looking for. A real fan wouldn't give up on ANY player after two bad games. Tell me something lets say Warner plays the next two games and fumbles the ball five times again. Both times lose us the game like last season what would you do then?
As for the concert anaolgy, I'll give it a try. Yes I would boo. Because he's drunk. If Matt played drunk or wasted then yes he sould be booed.
IF the singer sings off key for a few songs or misses lines( a more appropiate analogy) then no I would not boo.
Real fans don't boo mistakes or growing pains. I'm sure the engine on the bandwagon is still warm if you want to fire it up and drive to another team like the Titans I hear they have Vince Young.

Booing a player is booing the TEAM. If you're booing the team, then the opposing team, which will number plenty on Sunday, will have a good laugh and a reason to make some noise, the kind of noise that inspires, rather than tears down. YES you have a RIGHT to boo.
Boo if you must, but know that the opposing fans will take great delight in Cards fans sucking the life out of the 12th man. Goodbye to home field advantage.

There you go again. I wanted to keep quite but you had to pull me back in. Your analogy of the family situation is completely wrong. First of all, if a kid runs out into the street onto traffic I'm sure the mom (fans) would pull the kid by the ears and scream at her boy ( team or player) regardless of who is around. It might not be PC but it happens every so often. Do I agree with it? Maybe not, but it it is the mother's right to do it just like it is any fan's right that pays good money for a ticket. I don't so much agree with that tactic but I'm defending the person who first said it on the board. I'm more pissed that you keep calling members ignorant or some off-handed remark when you don't agree with them. That to me is ignorant.
