Im still addicted, even though its been out for a while and my version is the XBOX version (not 360 or PS3).

I just made a trade today.

Edge for Champ Bailey, Tatum Bell & their #3 draft pick in '07.
Not bad since Bailey is the most dominant CB in the game, Bell is doing just as well as Edge this year, but has more speed & acceleration & a pick in the draft.

**** right - I only use the trade block and only except whats on offer there, which is normally pretty poor so dont trade that much.

Also when it comes to contract renewals etc I dont change anything, if the deal isnt good I let them go. Its only fair otherwise you just screw the CPU every time.

Good point. I USED to sign free agents and trade them and draft picks in order to end up with a couple of first rounders, and the rest of my picks were all second and third rounders. Made for some great dynasties.

Don't do it anymore, it's already easy enough to win the SB every year without that.

i just finished my 1st season on Madden 07.
i lost the superbowl to the stupid Colts, but hey, i'll take the good w/ the bad.
Leinarts overall rating went from a measley 78 or so (forgot what it started at) and now he's up to 90/100.
Fitz got up to 94 & Q to 90.

i fired Green (just because of the crappy job he's been doing w/ the REAL Cards) and hired Schottenheimer as HC, Cam Cameron as my OC & Ron Rivera as my DC.

things are looking good in the off-season. i cant wait to play more tonight.

imagine if we had that coaching staff on our REAL team??

Agreed, madden 07 is retarded on 07 unless you cheat and create a team of superstars.

I'm sure someone on here will disagree with me but hey, I dont have 60 hours a week to play that **** game.

I mess with All-Pro and the sliders to get it as realistic as possible, but you could do the same with Madden level instead, I've just never tried it that way.

Just know that you don't play on "MADDEN" level in EA sponsored tourneys unless they changed it over the past couple of years. I think it is set to All-Pro.

If you want it to be more competetive then play Madden, but it's no fun if it's not realisitic, IMO, but I know others who don't care.

Question: How many minutes do you all play (I GO WITH 8 or 9 minute quarters) to have a realistic number of plays called.

I never did any hard research but I don't take a lot of time to call plays and neither does the AI lol... for me, 6 min quarters feels like the real thing.

I'm like a few others... Pro is way too easy, I went 16-0, won the Superbowl and Edge was godlike. I can't complete a pass at All Pro LOL

Yeah it was like that for me too, I just played on Madden until I was able to constantly get a few passes off, and that made All Pro just right. Not too hard, not too easy, and win some lose some.

I love the new running/blocking controls, but whoever came up with the QB vision thing is retarded. It might work against the computer but when i play my buddies i have about .0004 seconds to throw the ball, so that crap takes to much time. The only remedy i have found is to play on all-pro and turn up EVERY slider for offense AND defense.( that means AI too) I don't change the kicking much. It makes running a lot tougher and when you throw, you better be right on or it's a pick. I hear so many guys bragging about how dominant they are but that's on rookie with no adjustment to the sliders, then they play me and they are like ***? I don't play online and i'm sure there is someone that could kick my butt, but i would take on anyone. Especially someone that cheats and rushes for 500 yards a game. It wouldn't happen against me.

I also play six minute quarters. For me, it seems like the perfect grey area for stats being either not that great to unbelievable.

I play all-pro for franchise and for SS games. I switch it to pro for SS practices, just so I can get decent bonuses for the next game.

I play online from time to time and only play as the Cards...and my record is very similar to the real Cards, lol.

How many here play and like the SS (superstar mode)?

I play 8 minutes quarters with accelerated clock. I do play on All Madden but have altered the cpu's defense awareness down one and his interception rating down one also. I can win with the Pats, Broncos or Colts etc but with the Cards in my franchise I finished at 7-9. You just have to concentrate on running the ball then the play action pass really excels. On defense user control a safety and always stay deep as Rolle, Green and Macklin arent that quick.

BOBOCRACKER listen i know you might be good at madden but there is no competituon like there is online. i used to be like you and think i was good but when i went online i got stomped repeatedly. now ive learned so much about madden im **** near impossible to stop.m i wouldnt even have to run to beat you and i could do it all out of one pass formation. too bad you dont play online cuz i love breaking challengers hearts. but seriosly enough of me talking smack. if you ever wanna learn a few tricks i could improve your game by 100% lemme know

I just do a fantasy draft in Franchise mode.
Want to know how long ago that was??

I love to play Madden. I got X-box live, not to long ago, and I never played any madden games competitvly over X-box live. When I first hopped on there, and for the first, about 3 Games I was greatly dissapointed with the competition, beating the Ravens, Steelers, and Falcons, all with the Cardinals. However recently it has been tougher, but then again, Its hard to beat the chargers... :poke:

so, im into my 2nd season (2007 now), and in the off-season, i hired:

Marty Shottenhiemer as HC
Ron Rivera as DC
Cam Cameron as OC.

I hired Asante Samuel as CB (to replace Macklin/Green) & Lance Briggs as OLB (to replace Huff). I also traded Edge for Tatum Bell to help land Briggs & gained 1st round pick & 2nd round pick for 2008. I also got Jeff Mitchell at C position.

I'm currently 10-0.

stats:

Leinart: 92.3 pass rating, 2,234 yds 31 TD, 16 INT 64% completions
Bell: 1,308 yds, 4.5 yds/carry 6 TDs
Q: 783 yds, 9 TD
Fitz: 512 yds, 8 TD
Johnson: 268 yds, 6 TD
Pope: 217 yds, 6 TD

As far as Fantasy Draft on Madden for 360, not sure you can do it. I've never tried (I'm a realistic kind of guy), but though I had read that somewhere several months back.

I don't play online anymore as I can't stand the "LAG" it drives me nuts. On Madden '04 or '05, I was top 500 for a LONG TIME, but I got sick of playing game after game kicking butt and having people quit when they realized I had 14 years of Madden experience and all the trash I talked. Could care less now, but was proud at the time. I came two yards short in NCAA '05 from going to Vegas to play for $10,000. I HAD NEVER PLAYED A HUMAN player in NCAA since '98 so I was rusty and decided on Texas right before it started so had no idea what I was doing but everyone else was USC and Oklahoma (and NO ONE was using UT at that time), so I gave it a try and it worked. VY's sophomore year and Cedric Benson, but the key was Derrick Johnson. Lost to LSU btw. It was a GREAT game, but crap because the kid I played just threw bombs and on 4th and 38 on the 45 yard line right before the half, he scored a TD to go up 14-7. Then, in the 3rd, I returned and INT for a TD to tie the game. I then had 3 minutes in the 4th and got all the way down to the 8 and with 4 seconds left and the clock running, ran a no huddle slant and got tackled at the 2 yard line as time expired... :(

Also, when I play on 8 or 9 minute quarters, I take my time calling plays as the computer usually does the same thing. That's just what I've always done...

I am not a great Madden player, quite awful actually. I had to bump it up to All Pro because it finally got really old to go undefeated every year at the Pro level. Anyway... at the All Pro level, I couldnt walk away from a game without 12 interceptions and it really upset me because by the 3rd quarter I was always forced into a high percentage of pass plays.

So I started over for the 322nd time and sat down to look at my roster. HOW could I make this team work for me? And so I did it. I am a huge Edge fan but I put him on the trading block because I truly believed that I needed a sidekick monster in the middle of the Defensive line to compliment Darnell Dockett. I was a failure in the rushing game so it didnt make sense to get rid of the Edge. But its a game, so I tried it.

I asked for a 1st round pick and a DT over 91 in exchange for Edge.

The Lions offered Shaun Rogers and their first round pick. I took it. Then I grabbed Stephen Davis (lol right?) from the Free Agency.

I'm 11-1!

Stephen and Shipp are doing well, averaging 4.4 yards a piece. Also picked up FB Kirtman the rookie who is 10x better than his stats would have you believe at first glance.

All the while running the Tampa 2 from my own playbook on every down (I thought Rivera was coming to Glendale for real).

#1 in rush defense!
#2 in pass defense!

What a game.

I still throw 5-8 interceptions.

EDIT: Picked up some FS Hearst (sp) who had an overall 85+... he blew chunks. Threw in Brewer at an overall 65 or something and he's my best DB on the field. What a game!

I have a thing where I play my division rivals and AFC opponents on all-pro and anyone else during the season on pro.

During the playoffs I play everyone on all-pro.

I still haven't tried All-Madden because I still lose some games on all-pro but by like freaking dinky scores like 27-24 and **** like that. And the opponent scores that not by defense, but by the freaking stinking interceptions I DO throw (usually 2-3 a game) and go back for touchdowns because my offense cannot tackle with a ****.

I like the franchise: it's really the only game I play period.

I hired Ken Whisenhut as my coach a 4 year deal. if I dont make the playoffs with this team on the second season and ken gets fired with out my adprover Iam returing this game back and get store credit.
