So you buying clubseats ? How much are they and can you provide a link for others who want to purchase tickets ?

Count me in I love soccer and i've been hoping they would make a trip to this part of the country soon. Im curious to see how the interim coach is going to workout as well.

Edit: We should go for an endzone though don't you think ?

U.S. to Renew Rivalry vs. Mexico on Feb. 7 in Glendale, Ariz.

- Bob Bradley to Lead U.S. Against Mexico in First Meeting Since 2005

CHICAGO (December 13, 2006) — The U.S. Men’s National Team will renew their long rivalry against regional rival Mexico on, Feb. 7, 2007, at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. The match is the first for new U.S. head coach Bob Bradley against the USA’s fiercest rival and will be played on the first international fixture date of 2007. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN2 and Univision beginning at 7 p.m. MT. Fans can also follow the match live online via ussoccer.com’s MatchTracker.

Tickets | Schedule
Advance ticket prices for the game start at $28 and will go on sale to the public beginning on Tuesday, Dec. 19 at 10 a.m. MT at ussoccer.com, all Glendale area Ticketmaster outlets (including Macy’s, Fry’s Marketplace and FYE), the University of Phoenix Stadium ticket office (Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.) and by phone at 480-784-4444. Groups of 20 or more can purchase tickets by calling U.S. Soccer at 312-528-1290 or obtaining a group order form at ussoccer.com. Day-of-game ticket prices will be higher than advance ticket purchases.

"I'm excited to be a part of my first game against Mexico," said Bradley. "There is a great history to the rivalry, and I know it is always a special game for the players and fans. It is a great opportunity to see how our players respond against a challenging opponent."

The U.S. has dominated the series of late, collecting a 6-0-1 home record against Mexico since 2000. During that span, the USA has netted 11 goals, while the Mexicans have failed to score a single goal on American soil in this decade. In the team’s last meeting, the U.S. used a 2-0 victory on Sept. 3, 2005, in Columbus, Ohio to become the first team in CONCACAF to qualify for the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

The U.S. has a lifetime record of 12-29-10 against Mexico in a series that dates to 1934, but has compiled a 10-6-8 advantage in home matches since 1957. Since the rivalry between these two teams began in earnest in 1990, the sides have played 24 times, with the U.S. holding a 10-7-7 advantage. In the team’s most significant matchup, the United States defeated Mexico 2-0 in the Round of 16 of the 2002 FIFA World Cup, advancing the U.S. to the quarterfinals of the tournament for the first time in 72 years.

The U.S. Men’s National Team will be making its first appearance at the University of Phoenix Stadium and only their third overall in the state of Arizona. The U.S. last played in the Grand Canyon State more than 12 years ago, defeating Norway 2-1 at Sun Devil Stadium on January 15, 1994 in Tempe. In their only other match, also in Tempe, the U.S. drew 2-2 with Denmark on Jan. 20, 1993.

Coincidentally, the USA will open its 2007 schedule against Denmark on Jan. 20 at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. (tickets). Along with a series of friendlies, the United States will compete in two major championships next summer. The three-time champions will first try to defend their title against 11 other teams at the 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup, scheduled from June 6-24 in several cities across the United States. Just a few days later, the U.S. will participate in the 2007 Copa America, the regional championship of South America. The 12-team tournament will run from June 26 to July 15 in nine cities across Venezuela. For the United States, the appearance will mark their third entrance into CONMEBOL’s signature event.

I wonder if we can get a discount as Cards season ticket holders and what if we get a group price would that be the way to go ?

This is awesome.. I gotta make some phone calls, I may be able to get a small clan together for this. Count me in for at least 5 seats right now but I may be able to fill about 20 seats after some phone calls.

That club password only allows you to buy in advance for club seats which start at $60 and up.

The sidelines, corners and endzone seats go on sale Tuesday morning if anyone needs the less expensive seats.

Sidelines are $50-60
Corners are $38-45
Endlines are $28-35

Lets fill up the lower bowl with American fans.

Nope... sorry. I'm too far away from the north border and I simpy can't afford a road trip to 'Zona.

Should be a fun game. The whole country pays attention when it comes to a USA-Mex matchup, even if it's a friendly one. Both teams have a brand new coach although I'm not too fond on ours and he'll likely start over instead of giving continuity to the job made by the former coach.

I only wish that the "whole country" paid attention to it when we played Mexico. It truely is one of the best sports rivalries going right now. It's truely embarrassing the amount of support that our national team gets at times.

Good luck man, may the best team win.

I'm hoping they show the game here in the Uk.
Should be a cracker. Mexico are a real good team and match up well with the USA. With home field you'd lean slightly towards the USA winning, but with the ground so close to Mexico, and a learge ex-pat community, I'd expect the Mexican fans to turn this into a virtual home game. So maybe lean slightly towards the Mexicans winnings.

There you have it, my analysis. A draw.

When it comes to pure talent, I think Mexico is the better team... but I just wish many of our guys had the guts to go through the huge task of winning in Europe... getting paid peanuts to play in a second tier division, showcasing talent, getting called to the first team... all that stuff. But no, the mexican league is severely overpaid.

Fortunately after this past Cup a lot of kids went to Europe to join Barcelona defender Rafael Marquez. And speaking of defenders, man, I can't wait to see a more developed trio of Marquez-Carlos Salcido (PSV Eindhoven, my man!)-Ricardo Osorio (german Stuttgart) in the backside. And our attack should get a huge boost once youngster Carlos Vela and Giovanni dos Santos grow up. Both were members of the U-17 World Champion team last year. :ok:

Unfortunately Adu is on the u-20 squad, so we'll have to wait a few more years before we get to see him. the Feb 7th vs Mexico however IS a FiFA date, so Our players that play in Europe like McBride and Bocanegra may be there. McBride truly is a stud. Although in the Premiership I follow Liverpool, I always also root for fulham, because of McBride and Bocanegra, it now also appears that our boy Clint Dempsey ma be headed to fullham. I hope we field a strong team and beat Mexico. that's always truly special!!!

I actually believe you're right however I've read posts on the Bigsoccer MB's about a possible Send-off game for those two. I'd love for it to be the Mexico game, but I bet that'll happen in one of the games they play on the east coast, as usually there's A LOT more support than they will be able to muster in the southwest.

Its my opinion that McBride is the best American to play over here. He is strong, great in the air, and plays the game the way it shoulf be played. We have way too many cheats in the Premiership. An accusation that can never be attributed to McBride.
I do tho work with the guy who writes the programme notes for the Fulham matchday programme. And a more biased one yeed pain in the whatsit you couldnt hope to meet. So more often than not I cheer on whoever Foolham are playing.
Reports over here on Adu's couple of weeks training with Manchester United werent too impressive. Its the feeling over here he is still very raw, and has plenty to learn. United are in a bit of a fix at the moment with forwards, and had he impressed they would definetly have taken him. Maybe another year and who knows. He has looked good in the highlights I have seen.

It looks like we arent going to get the game shown over here. Too many other games going on in Europe at that time. I stand by my earlier post tho. The game should be a cracker. Mexico are a very good team, although for some reason they dont seem to do so well in Europe. Having said that they were involved in one of the games of the world cup with Argentina. Have a great day guys. I will be looking for your match reports. It will be interesting to compare the Mexican and the American views on the match.

Thanks for your thoughts on McBride. I'm always so proud when I'm watching a Fulham game and the broadcasters just beam about him and what a great man he is and how he plays the game the right way. I get the feeling that he is very well respected over there in England. And I think you're right, this game should be a good one. The US has seemed to have Mexico's number lately for whatever reason. Northern Soul didnt Mexico finish runners up in The Confederation Cup in 2005 in Germany they beat - sorry they didnt reach the final but did beat Brazil in their group game.

Mc Bride sure is a great player, but there have been a few decent players from the States. But I dont think you can look past their goalkeepers for their best players over here - Friedel, Howard and Keller are all capable of playing for any team in the world and not looking out of place.

How about Roy Wegerle ? Dont know if you guys will remember him but he was a great player and did make a real impact on the Premiership.

they might still. A lot of people in the UK were going on about how it proves Adu is not as good as people say, forgetting the fact that nobody can sign him until he turns 18 anyway (June 2nd I think).

People also forget that he is still only 17. How many players make it big before they are 20? not many at all.

USA is becoming more of a soccer-able country. Youth programs like the Olympic Development Program that starts recognizing a developing talent at the age of about 10, continues to grow better talent. Club soccer helps also. There is some serious oung talent right here in AZ, folks. It will take some time cuz other countries concentrate on soccer only. Not all our best athletes play soccer. They play the big 3, so for us to have a team with players like this is great. We'll get there eventually, but it will take more time...

FIFA better suspend the Mexican goalie for atleast 4 games for trying to injure Eddie Johnson after Donavans goal. Mexico sucks. Go USA Gongrats Conrad on awsome game. You played great defense. Howard was great too. Is a mexican ever gonna score a goal again in the US? I hope they never do.

As Eddie Johnson was running by him to go celebrate with Donavan, the keeper deliberately swiped at Johnson's leg in an attempt to hurt him. The commentators were going crazy on TV after that happened. It was pretty a pretty lame move.

Wow, that is lame. My son is a keeper, and he better not do that kinda crap. I'll go out there and smack him myself. He's a clean player, but he will settle a score if necessary to protect himself or his mates....

Great game and a helluva time. The only troubling thing was the lack of security searches upon entry, but I guess we lived.

I was thinking the same thing. No pat-downs?? At an international soccer game?? My mind was racing before the game, but all-in-all, everyone was much more behaved than any game when the Cowboys or Raiders come to town..

Not that I'm defending GK Oswaldo Sanchez, but Donovan pulled a classless taunting move on the closest defender (#3 Salcido) before scoring the goal.

And yes, it was a bonehead move that I don't endorse.

00:08 aprox... when he turned his head he waved his right arm in a "hey come on" to #3 Salcido. It was more clear on TV, tho. And no, he didn't say that to Johnson.

And the irony of the situation: Donovan called out the mexican team because of its "poor sportsmanship". :partytime: :topic:

Minor in comparison to the GK trying to trip Johnson after the goal. Johnson wasn't even in the play. Classless move IMO. My son's a GK. If he ever did that, I'd be out on the field smackin' him myself. The 'little wave' happens alot, and in numerous sports. Not the most sportsmanlike thing to do, but nothing close to the Mexico GK...

Dude, he's saying come on to Eddie Johnson who was on the right side of the play. How you can say that he's not saying it to Johnson is beyond me. Even when I was watching the game I saw that he was waving to Johnson because he would have been wide open if he would have caught up with the play. He wanted Johnson to get up with him so he had a pass/shoot option. There's no way he was saying "come on" to the mexican guy. That's ridiculous.

The Mexican team showed how classless they were after the game by refusing to shake hands or exchange Jersey's. That on top of the GK trying to trip Donavan. Bottom line? 2-0. Go cry all the way home Mexico you bunch of hooligans. Come back when you guys get some class.

LOL that's as funny as LdT crying about the Patriots' lack of class.

I'm sorry, but some members of the USA team are not exactly angels.. and that includes Donovan himself.

There's not a football team out there that are completely angels. It's a physical game.....but trying to hurt somebody is in a different class.

Is it or isn't it tradition to shake hands and exchange jerseys after a game Fez?

So what's your excuse now. Maybe the Mexican team had a bus to catch? Just admit, your team lost, and instead of taking it like men, they pouted like little kids and then whined about it after the game in interviews. You've always had class on here, the Mexican football team has never had it, so stop going down to their level. If my team had acted this way I would be very embarrassed.

If I'm not mistaken, the Mexican team has been doing that for a while now after they lose to the US. Poor losers if you ask me. Oh well.
