Anyone know...if we draft 5th overall, would we draft 5th in 2nd round too. If so I might change my mind about addressing the Off Line in 1st round with 5 really good off line in the draft. It's very likely they could get on with their 2nd round pick. I might just be leaning more towards that CB that is rated so high out of Michigan I think....Leon Hall

I think Joe Thomas from Wisconsin is an absolute no brainer if he's still available at our pick. He will be an anchor on the line for a decade.

I would prefer a top DB in the first, with an OT in the second. DE would also be a solid pick in the first round.

agreed. i think 75% of this board feels the same way.. lets hope he is.. quality O-line players are hard to come by... we can try to address our CB needs in the FA or 2nd round.
i cant wait til the draft, im all antsy!! haha

Thin at offensive line, Cardinals trade for Pats' Gorin
By Len Pasquarelli

Gorin
Moving to bolster their offensive line, and to compensate for the absence of starting right tackle Oliver Ross, the Arizona Cardinals on Monday acquired four-year veteran Brandon Gorin from the New England Patriots, ESPN.com has learned.
The Patriots will receive a conditional choice in the 2007 draft.

It was either a 6th or 7th round pick depending on playing time ..
So the answer to your question is that we have all but one of our picks ...

He rarely played, I think it's a 7th rounder.

Alright All of you Ill do it. Here is the round and the number pick. We traded for B. Gorin from NE for a 7th rounder, but if he was on the roster at the end of the year it would be increased to a 6th rounder.
1. 5
2. 38
3. 69
4. 102
5. 133
6. traded for B Gorin
7. 197
I also think we will get a 7th for the players we lost - the players we gained.

Cards rotate with the Skins. Skins get 5th pick in 2nd round and then we get the 5th again in 3rd.
That may change a little if the league adds compensation picks.
We have not gotten one of those in a long time.

i was wondering why we trade with the Skins.....does strength of schedule not play out for all rounds?

Since we had the same record as them they go to strength of sched for the first pick, but then we rotate. So it plays out, just not for the entire draft.
