I am not trying to be negative. But it always seems that the cardinals finish a season the same way. I have been a cardinal fan all my life. I have hope every year that they will do better. At least make the playoffs. But its always seem to be the same conclusion. I can remember games down through the past 40 years that seem to replay themselves in bad coaching, poor execution, stupid penalties, weird turnovers, and coaches coming and going. I can remember games where the cardinals just seem to be repeats of the same thing. The Cardinals always find ways to give games away. Its like they are terrified of winning.

Yes the cardinals will change. When the Cardinal culture changes.
The culture of mediocrity. Accepting mediocrity instead of demanding excellence.

There are fans of this team that desire Denny Green to return next season as head coach after losing three straight years. That kind of mentality must change. He should never have lasted as long as he did. He should have either been fired after last season or after the Bears game this season because it was obvious he had lost the team.
When Reggie Wells states midway through Denny's third year that the offensive line was just now learning how to run block, there is something desperately wrong. Did the front office not know this was what was going on with their team?

The Cardinals accept losing and the fans accept it. As a matter of fact they reward it. Sure, bring Denny Green back, he's lost 3 straight years but a rebuilding job takes longer than 3 years cause we're the Cardinals.
Actually it should only take 1 season maybe 2 depending on all the circumstances with the players. And that is what is expected of EVERY other NFL team. Players careers are too short and with free agency, there is no more room for patience. If a coach can't win within 1-2 years, he's gone. The good coaches have figured this out. They understand they cannot and will not have 2 losing seasons in a row. Bill Cowher, Mike Holmgren, Bill Belichick, Andy Reid, Bill Parcells. You don't see them lose 2-3 straight seasons. They make the neccessary changes and stay involved closely with the team enough to improve enough so that they don't lose 2 seasons in a row. It's unacceptable to them and it's unacceptable to the team. Most other NFL teams have figured this out. But because the Cardinals are some kind of special case and because we've lost for so many years, it will take us longer. This is simply acceptance of mediocrity.

The Cardinals will change, when the Cardinal culture changes. And not until then. Demand excellence or accept failure.

Well said Saturn. A cold, hard dose of reality perhaps ... but it's true.

Has anyone kept any stats on the number of drives that were stopped by Cardinals false starts......that is a sure sign of lack of concentration and dicipline..................fix that and that will be a major improvement.
