I know this hasn't been done for a couple of weeks, so I wanted to get everyone's input on who they thought is going to win in the Wildcard round.
Kansas City @ Indianapolis: this one is going to be a hella shootout: I stick by what I said in the other thread (somewhere) and say 35-24 INDY.
Dallas @ Seattle: Well now let's see: two sub-par teams who no matter who wins probably won't see the light of day after the divisional round. Wow, this is certainly a good game...20-17 SEATTLE.
NY Jets @ New England: I know that the Jets won here during the season and being as I always have an upset pick in my back pocket all the time (I told everyone who cared that Detroit was going to beat Dallas) this is going to be it: I really think if the Jets can run the ball they have a chance...24-21 NEW YORK.
NY Giants @ Philadelphia: Like I would pick the opponent to beat us, especially the GIANTS who SHOULD have had momentum and a plyoff spot wrapped up had they not dropped so many games in a row...24-14 PHILLY.

I'm taking KC over IND 27-21. Larry Johnson against that run defense?! Are you kidding me? I'm going with the running game, and Manning choking. Although in his defense, this postseason can't be blamed on him.
The Cowboys are in a full tailspin, and the 'Hawks are talented on both side of the ball. Home field advantage gives this to the 'Hawks for sure. 24-17.
I'm going with the upset pick, taking the NYJ over the Pats. The NE defense isn't what it used to be, although still good, and Brady won't be able to carry this team against a coach that knows how they play. I look for Pennington to be very good, and the defense to do just enough in a low scoring affair. 17-10 Jets.
Garcia is hot, Eli is cold. The PHI defense has come alive, and the NYG defense is porous. Tiki is the only boon for the NYG, but he won't be enough. 31-21 Eagles.

Colts get enough points to top the unsteady Chiefs offense. Larry Johnson will have a great day, but not enough. Colts win 34-27
Romo finds "it" once again and leads the Girls to a decisive 30-17 win over the Hawks.
Eagles shames the Giants, well Eli is already an embarrasment.
Eagles win 27-14.
And the easy pick would be the Pats over the Jets...but...but...ya the Pats over the Mangenious and the Jets 24-16.

I can agree with the overall analysis you present of the NFC side.
I think that ANYTHING is possible when Dallas-Seattle hook up but I still think home is where Seattle's heart is. Besides, to a :Cards logo: fan Seattle is like Dallas to me!
haha...like the comment about Eli!
Take care dude.

I hate Dallas more than Seattle, but with virtually no secondary for Seattle, Romo should have an open field to throw in to. I would expect the winner to be the loser, next round.

Too funny.
Colts beat the Chefs 35-21 (can't remember the last time the Colts lost at home, Chefs are 1 and done)
Dallas Beats Seattle 24-21 (Seattle has no secondary)
Eagles beat the Gents 28-21 (Eagles are hot gents are not)
Pats beat the Jets 28-24 (TOM FREAKING BRADY!)
Man I love the NFL. You never know what your gonna get.

Hmmm..
Chiefs over Colts, 31-17
Unless Bob Sanders is some sort of magical panacea that will instantly solve Indi's porous run defense, they're in for a long, long day against Larry Jonhson and the powerful Chiefs offensive line. And, strangely enough, the Colts don't seem strong enough to get up once they've been knocked down, and their feeble oline has difficulty dealing with a powerful pass rush, and if they're behind...passing is all they'll be doing.
Overratriots over Jests, 17-13
Is there anyway they could both lose? No? Fine...I pick the Patsies, largely because they're at home and Brady is so much better than Pennington, it's not even funny. Still, it'll be a tough, close game nonetheless. If I liked the teams better, it may've been interesting...
Seahawks over Cowboys, 20-14
Two anemic teams. The only really big difference I can discern? The Seahawks are at home, and have a bald QB and a better runningback.
Eagles over Giants, 27-24
The Giants come out and play like they're going to the Super Bowl....but then the 3rd-quarter ends and they got on the plane home. Seriously, what is up with them? Their season shall end like it should've if the NFC was any good....they'll finally pay the price for being unable to finish off opponents, and Akers will crush their hopes, and perhaps cost Coughlin his job, with a last second field goal for the win, and the excuses shall fly while the Eagles celebrate...

I was 3-1 this weekend. My only loss was KC.

I would have been either 3-1 or 4-0 as the only game I had as a toss up was the Dallas-Seattle game. It appeared that the Home teams dominated this weekend. Let me go ahead and place my picks for next weeks games.
Indianapolis Colts at Baltimore Ravens - I'll take Baltimore by a low scoring affair of 14-10 as I think Baltimore's defense will find a way to win this one and just barely eek it out.
Final Score - Baltimore Ravens 14 - Indianapolis Colts 10
Philadelphia Eagles at New Orleans Saints - New Orleans will win this one off of emotion as they are the underdogs and everyone's darlings this year.
Final score - New Orleans Saints 31 - Philadelphia Eagles 24
Seattle Seahawks at Chicago Bears - Chicago's defense will dominate this game and win it handedly despite Rex Grossman's woes.
Final Score - Chicago Bears 24 - Seattle Seahawks 10
New England Patriots at San Diego Chargers - This game will remind us of an earlier game this year when the Chargers played the Bengals. Look for this to be an air attack and a high scoring game playing in the Chargers favor.
Final Score - San Diego Chargers 42 - New England Patriots 38
The home teams will dominate for one more week.

I was 4-0, Dallas/Seattle was a tough decision and Dallas should have won, but I figured with home field and the BALANCE that they have, they would win. Maybe would have had Dallas had I known about the injury situation for the Seahawks going in.
Can't wait to see what happens next week. This time, I'll post the first days' games ahead of time so more will believe me.

Here is my exact post from two other sites I write for as a hobby.
Indianapolis Colts @ Baltimore Ravens (4:30 PM Saturday on CBS)
-Consider the following and if you don’t think my pick is obvious then I’ll let more food for thought lay on the table: against a bad Chiefs defense, Payton Manning had three interceptions as opposed to only one touchdown pass. Sure, the Colts won the game, but in some way shape or form the Colts magically became a defensive team in the matter of six days: suddenly the team that allowed a rounded off 171 yards rushing a game allowed Larry Johnson 32 yards. Was it the return of Bob Sanders, or did KC dig themselves a hole too soon and blow too many chances? Rest assured that the Ravens will not make the same mistake, and if Manning struggled with errant passes against KC, the Ravens defense is not only going to make him pay for them, but could very well produce more turnovers. As such I am picking the Baltimore Ravens to keep Manning’s never ending streak for a ring alive.
PREDICTION: RAVENS 27 COLTS 17
Philadelphia Eagles @ New Orleans Saints (7:30 PM Saturday on FOX)
-By the time this game happens, we may not have a definite favorite or underdog. Philadelphia, who is riding a six game winning streak with a recent win over the New York Giants, and New Orleans, who is riding one hell of a turnaround from 3-13 to 10-6 and sporting coach of the year in Sean Payton, will meet for the second time this year in the Superdome. And some of the things that haunted the Eagles in that game could very well happen again, but the biggest difference between the Eagles who played their on October 22nd and the Eagles who are going to play their on the 13th has been more discipline. A ball control offense, which the Eagles possess now unlike the Donovan McNabb led team, is not going to let the Saints sit on the **** ball for eight and a half minutes like they did during the Saints 27-24 victory over the Eagles in week six of the season. I think that, once more, this game is going to come down to the final possession, only this time the Eagles will be controlling the clock with Jeff Garcia and Brian Westbrook.
PREDICTION: EAGLES 24 SAINTS 21
Seattle Seahawks @ Chicago Bears (1:00 PM Sunday on FOX)
-Boy, is this game going to be EXICTING or what? Sorry if my SARCASM wasn’t evident from the get-go, but the fact that the starting quarterbacks for both teams are going to make this an error filled game in which defense is going to have to shine through well, Chicago is in another league against Seattle even IF Chicago is losing some players. Oh, and let’s not forget that Seattle is here thanks to Tony Romo’s GREAT holding ability: I at one point thought this game was going to be close, but much like the match these two had earlier in the season, this one should be ripped apart from the very beginning of the game.
PREDICITION: BEARS 31 SEAHAWKS 13
New England Patriots @ San Diego Chargers (4:30 PM Sunday on CBS)
-This is a tough one for me to predict, because as the question was posed to the Jacksonville Jaguars as to whether or not they were the worst 12-4 ever in 2005, are the Chargers the worst 14-2 team in history? Now don’t get me wrong I still think this team is of high caliber I mean they did win the AFC home field advantage, but the Patriots have massive playoff expertise which is nothing you can teach or nothing you can add up in paltry stats. On one hand, I want to take the home team because they are at home and they do have LT and a great front seven that attacks on a note with various players, but on the other hand their quarterback Phillip Rivers has been playing an awful lot like a first time player lately, and their secondary is only average and could be beat deep by Jabar Gaffney and Reche Caldwell. But there are three simple steps that the Patriots need to do to win:
1. Stop LT
2. Their offensive line needs to stand up the Chargers front seven
3. Stop LT
So, in calculating all of the factors, this was definitely the hardest game to pick, but I have to go with the team that has been their and done that…I’m going Patriotic!
PREDICTION: PATRIOTS 30 CHARGERS 23
Well, I finished up 3-1 and one last week (I whiffed BADLY on the Jets-Pats game) so let us see if I can maintain solid ground for this week.
