Why do all these OUT OF STATE "Cards Fans" with 10 posts keep popping up on here all of the sudden and are trying to educate us all on our Team?
This is a question to the regulars, you know who you are.
The season ends, the lights go out and the cucaracha's all crawl out the woodwork.
Just thought it was odd.
If you are such experts, where have you been all season?

Well we displayed what Cardinals football really is, this year, thats how they've learned everything:oops:

It's not the out-of-state that bothers me, just the attitude and lack of useful information.

My guess is that it's because we have a hire to make, and they only care when we have a big decisions to make. The things like winning games, they could care less about.

You know, I have followed this forum for quite sometime. The reason i was very hesitant to post anything is of people like you. Just looking for something to complain about. I don't live in Arizona, but in the eastern part of the USA. I have been a Cardinal fan for close to 40 years. How long have you been one? I really just would like to find someone to discuss Cardinal football with. Not very many are here where I live. There is no need to be rude to fans outside of Arizona.

That was awfully rude of you to judge me so quickly. I never said I didn't want new fans or even out of state fans to post PERIOD, I was simply referring to a specific group of "new" fans that have popped up on here in the past few days. They know little to nothing about the team yet still come in with the attitude that they are going to 'school' us all on Cardinal football.
Dont be so defensive. If you come here with respect, we will respect you.
Make accusations, call names and be defensive like you were in your post, and you will not be around long.

There is no reason to be rude to anyone on here. The reason some people have more to say this time of year is that they probably prefer to say something positive which is hard to do during the season.
It is a matter of the reality of the regular season vs anticipation of better times to come.

:Cards logo: Me im an outta state card fan and i could get nasty or angry on here. And if it sounds like blah blah to some im generally sorry but to me when i here things like the cards are playoff caliber or that rod graves is retained it baffles me.To me winning teams and how there successful doesnt remind me of the cardinals. When i hear okeafor is a stud i disagree because i guess i just see a guy put into a situation to succeed albeit schemed for success. My problem with some on here is to many card fans that actually go to games are way to passive.Id boo the hel- outta this team and the bidwills for there play and decision making.I guess the people of az reward the cards losing football with not showing up.In NY fans and media rip you appart for failure. I see slight talent and miserable decision making when i watch the cards.Im sorry thats the way i deal with this team.It bothers me because i care.

Seems to be alot of UK and Aussie fans of the team. Shall we kick all of them off for not having season tickets? There are also lots of out of town (and local fans) who can only afford to attend a game or two a year.
None of them are less deserving to be here then anyone else.

I agree that I have noticed more peeps posting that haven't been sharing all season. I think Booman gets the feeling that they are here now that the season is over but that they didn't "pay their dues" so to speak by taking the brunt and defending us vs. rivals/opponents, etc. and sharing in the misery that was our dissappointing season.
All I can offer up is that the Kool-Aid is a flowin' and be prepared for many many others to come on here and be fans until we start out 1-6 or something next season, then they will be nowhere to be found...:bibl:
I for one, enjoy a good cup of Kool-Aid, with some Ketel One anyways. In the meantime, I look forward to talking football with the regulars that I have come to know, and some other "newbies" as long as it is quality and not stuff like, "Our cheerleaders should go Topless"

I don't post here regularly because usually when I do you get all the prima donnas who turn up and seem to know just about everything there is so why post when you can read and get the information just as easily...besides I hate arguing with idiots because all they do is drag you down to their level and beat you with experience!!!

I also am one of those out-of-state posters, although I've been quiet most of the season. I will be posting more now that the season is over, for one main reason: many posters on this board are very hard to deal with during the regular season! A loss equals the Cardinals being the worst team in the history of football, a win equals a playoff run. People saying that we should have stuck with Warner. People saying that Edge was a waste (notice how his numbers went up as the line played better?!?). Fans of other teams flooding every post with their own homer gibberish. People talking about how Leinart should be benched because he had a child with a woman he wasn't married to. It gets to be very tiresome! Now that some of that stuff is dying away, and most of the "regular" posters have settled in for a long winter of hope and kool-aid, discussion of draft picks, free agents, etc. I'm looking forward to visiting the board more.
Concerning the "season ticket" remarks, while it is unfeasable for me, living in WI, to come to every home game, I did go up to Green Bay and Minneapolis for those games (which, let me tell you, wearing a Leinart jersey in the middle of Lambeau field was a very dangerous feeling!), and I also bought Sirius radio at the start of this NFL season so that I could listen to every game on the radio.
One question of an update-style: With Denny gone, is Wildcards still around? He always claimed he wasn't a DG guy, just curious...:ok:

If a Matt Leinart jersey proves that you are a true fan, than there are a TON of "true" fans out there.I'm not trying to start an argument, just saying that having a Leinart jersey doesnt quite make you a true fan seeing as he is hella popular.

To say that "out-of-state" fans should be kept off the MB is purely asinine. 'Oh yeah, I've been a fan since they moved to AZ and have season tickets, which, by the way makes me special.' Well, I've got news for you......why don't you look at the guys who have been with the team for the past 50-60 years true loyalty. We as a whole have been through this BS for far longer, and I can guarantee that 75% of these "so-called fans" from Arizona would forsake the team if they left the desert. It's just the flavor of the week ("I get drunk and love the atmosphere at U of Pheonix Stadium") for some of you guys and it is absolutely sickening.

Also, I really don't have 2,000 dollars or however much it costs for season tix, so stating only them (season tix holders) can be the only ones to post on this site, well, start a new site yourself and invite the people you want so you don't have to worry about the out of state or non-tix holders.
Saying that only they can post on this site is like a CHILD not sharing his cookies, selfish and rude.

I feel kind of insulted also by the initial poster... I have been watching and listening to you all on this board and the old board. I am an "out-of-stater" that has rooted for the Cards since they were in St.Louis...I would be a season ticket holder if I was out there and I plan to make the trip out there for a game next year (want to check out the new stadium)-also, I plan to don the Cardinal jersey when I drive over to Tampa next year for our game there. I would like to move out there one day because my job just went national JUST so I can attend a Card game with real Card fans and be a season ticket holder. So don't judge us so called "noobies" or "out-of-staters" that don't post much as one. Right now unfortunately I am stuck watching Gameday on the computer, listening to KTAR when they have the game on,and reading every post here on the game day threads.I have kids so it's hard to go to a sport's bar and catch the game. I post on here every once in a while when I feel my opinion needs to be heard. People like the initial poster are the reason I DON'T post much-there are a lot of PRIMA DONNA'S on here that are too hard headed and don't want to hear other people's opinions on anything.I catch grief here every Monday because everyone at my job knows I am a Card fan-I take a beating for it every week. But you know what...The next Sunday I am right back at my computer with all of you pulling for my team and dying in agony every week when they lose for the last 20 years...Thanks for the ridiculous post...It kind of tore my heart out....

Good Post. I also am a out of stater but I live in the St Louis area. Try watching a Cards game at a local bar full with Rams and Bears fans. I take a beating but I stand proud and dont back down from anyone. Now if the orignal poster would of said that all of the 1 and out posters yea I would of agreed with him but he chose to choose all of us out of town posters, that I have a problem with.
Booman141 I have taken more abuse then you will ever will take. Been a cardinal fan for 37 years. I post topics or information to this board as being either important of just funny quotes. If you dont like it just dont click on this web site. If you dont like the posters who are new and you dont agree with them put them on your iggy list.
And yes I would love to get some of these posters in my boot camp and after 6 weeks they would be all Yes Sir and Yes Mam around here, but that is wishfull thinking!! LOL

 I have to bump this post. I totally agree with the previous two posters as I fall under the same category as they do. I've been following the Cards since 1982 when I first moved to St Louis. I was blessed when the military moved me to Las Vegas so I could at least make a few games a year. No I do not post much, but I guarantee I'm more of a Cards fan than some of the "Just became a fan a few years ago and posts 1000 times a year" guy.
As I see it, We are ALL Cards fans no matter how long or WHERE we are.

Several thoughts, Booman:
--First, who gives you the right to say who gets to say what? You're just another thug poster, eh?
--Second, just by virtue of where were born, MOST fans ARE from out of state.
Still, we're fans!!
So blow off...........
Classic:
A 33-post pusher who signed up back in June of 2006 telling someone who has been here through through out another dreaded season to "blow off."
Where the hell have you been? I think that's a better question.
So before you decry someone who HAS been here (and before you lame your excuses and insults to me) take a look in the mirror.

You should have to be season ticket holder to post on here. That would keep the riff raff out! :Cards logo:
Pretty elitist view isn't it? Not everyone can afford season tickets. I just got to a point financially where I could consider this, but even still, I have to wait for them to become available. I'm not gonna come on here and feed you a line of crap and say I have liked the Cardinals since they were in St. Louis, or that I had Season Tickets at Sun Devil.. I didn't. I hated the St. Louis Cardinals, and now I hate the St. Louis Rams. I didn't like the Cards when they first came here, but after a couple years they won me over. I went to a ton of games at Sun Devil, but I went when it was nice out side, cause I wasn't going to bake like a potato all **** day. I'm not the "perfect" cards fan.. I don't have season tickets, I only went to 2 games this last year.
But you know what? I love this team as much as anyone else. I follow every move, I watch every game, I defend them to Cards haters, I argue with fans of other teams, I wear my Cardinals gear even after they lose. To imply that I'm not deserving of a voice because I don't have Season Tickets is pretty crappy in my opinion. What makes you so much better of a fan then me? The fact that you had the money to buy season tickets?
Yeah, i'm getting on the list for Season Tickets, but we have a lot of good fans that are unable to do the same. Let's not treat them like they are lesser fans, that's not cool.
I understand what Booman is saying as well. It's not a slam on out of state fans, it's a slam on people who have been quiet all year, and said nothing when we were suffering through 8 straight losses. Now that the seasons over, and we are back to looking to the future, they are trying to get the bandwagon going again. It happens every year, we have a ton of fans in the off season, then as soon as the year starts and we lose back to back games for the first time, everyone jumps off.
In state, or out of state, if you are a "real" Cardinal fan, and that means you like them even when they are losing, then you are welcome here. If you're just here to cheer when we win, then take a hike, we have enough people like that.
We have some great fans that are out of state.. we have a few that aren't even in the U.S.

I know what I am about to say is going to leave me open to flamming and being ripped a new one from the :Cards logo: breathen but LAY IT ON ME!
I think anyone and everyone who is crying about Booman just give it a freaking rest. Why do you people take to the defensive when someone makes a statement whether errant or not about something? If I told every single one of you people that responded in spite to Boo that :Cards logo: are never going to win the Super Bowl, would I have ripped your hearts out too?
I find humor actually in the fact that :Cards logo: fans have to take to fighting amongst themselves and their fellow "fans" because they have nothing better to do. This must make for some AWFULLY exciting off-seasons.
Booman, if everyone would stop being so defensive, is simply stating that the amount of people coming on and telling the long holding fans of this team (you know ALL of you who can lull me to sleep recanting the days of the STL Cards and in some cases even the Chicago Cardinals) that they should be drafting THIS player, or they should hire THIS coach, or they should pick up THIS free agent is growing out of hand.
I honetly believe that Booman made the statement about fans in vain and it was meant with hurt feelings as ANY :Cards logo: FANS SHOULD HAVE because your team gives you grief YEAR after YEAR after...you get the idea.
But then again, where is an Eagles fan to make sense to you guys or leave you open to even listen to me? As I said before, most of you ignore me simply because I do not represent for your team first, second, and third.

Boo, you know you gotta speak slowly and use small words to get your point across to most people on here.
I totally dig where you are coming from. Out of State or not, dont sign up for the board one day and then start ranting about every aspect of the cards the next. Everybody got to pay their dues. There are folks on this board who only come around during offseason and start complaining. Where were you after the Chicago game? Were you on here taking your lumps? Nope, you were hanging out in your Steeler jerseys talkin bout how much the cards suck. Not to mention most of the threads these fools start have already been discussed 15 times this season.

I suppose I fit the profile of the OP's ire. I've been a fan for more than 30 years but never lived in St. Louis or Arizona (though my family has history in AZ, it has nothing to do with my being a Cards fan...I would be a Cards fan if they were the Mexico City Cardinals or the Moscow Cardinals).
I doubt I will be around in 50 years, but if I am, I'd bet the Cardinals won't be in Arizona then. It wouldn't fit their historical pattern. The fans in Arizona are greatly appreciated, but they would be buying tickets if the Bengals, Saints, or "Expansion Team X" were in Phoenix.
For many of you, the Cardinals represent Phoenix or Arizona or both. For me, they represent the Cardinals and only the Cardinals.
Let's be honest. The Cardinals have a Sad Sack history, and it's very likely they're just passing through your town. I hope they are very successful in Arizona and that they stay in Arizona. I wouldn't bet much money on it, though. It doesn't fit their historical pattern.
Decades of frustration have shaped my opinions. Sometimes I vent that frustration. I'm more likely to "vent" when I am frustrated. I noticed a little of that tone in the OP. In any event, it's only my opinion, and regardless of my location, my opinion is worth the same as anyone's on this or any internet message board. Zilch.

Ah, but the Cardinals fit the PHX sports profile...so I've taken a liking to them, almost like that scar you have from 4th grade when the bully beat the crap out of you and you survived. In Arizona, we were always second bill, lower tier, taking the backseat to the high profile teams and cities. Enter the Cards...they fit the mold perfectly. They play in the league, but they were never really in anyone's league. As the perception of PHX as a sports town changes, the Cards will change with it. And they will win games, and people won't know what to do with themselves...but for right now, put them in the same box with the D-backs, Coyotes, and Sun Devils. The Suns have been here so long, they are in a unique class by themselves in PHX sports...everyone else joined the party at about the same time.

Maybe because Arizona is one of the top places that it seems everyone has lived in at one time.
I lived there for a couple of years while in school at MCC and ASU where I became a Cards... Yes I lived in AZ during the last playoff trip but still follow the team waiting for their return to the playoffs.
Favorite Players: Larry Fitzgerald, Anquan Boldin, and Adrian Wilson.
Those three players alone should make people Cardinal Fans.

If you notice there are, also, many new fans even from Arizona posting, their opinions.
As far as out-siders :Cards logo: are concerned, remember, that many of us follow/support OUR team because of the team, not the state..... and many of us are seeing this transition of our team on the National media, and we want to share our opinion:exclamationmark: :exclamationmark:
Also, understand, the last time WE received national media attention was after OUR HeartWrenching lost to the bears. Outside of Arizona, the most memorable part of our season has been Coach Green's Anger/Frustration and tirade.
If some of our posts seem "out of bounds" or "unsportsmen like", please, remember, we still blead Cardinal Red:exclamationmark: :Cards logo: :Cards logo: :exclamationmark: and maybe We are True Die Hards!

If you live out of state, but post regularly, give good information, have been a fan of the Cards for quite a while, or a combination of those three, he's...not...talking...about...you. In his opinion, you're a real Cards fan, and there's no need to get offended by this, you're exempted.
What he means are the people who don't post regularly and haven't followed this team very long who come on here and talk about how the Bidwills will screw this up because they always do and they need to sell the team and change the logo and blah blah blah whatever else is wrong with this franchise. Those are the posters and fans he doesn't want.

Not at all. I used the word OR in there to show that # of posts mean nothing if you have been a fan for a while or give good information about the team. A poster with only 5 posts is more credible than someone with 2,000 if those 5 posts provide more info than the other person's 2,000.
For example, Wild Cards used to have the most posts, by a wide margin. Would anyone say he was credible?

Boy this thread really got the juices flowing. I think Booman made a mistake by mentioning "Out-Of-State" and was merely stating that there has been an increase in "Newbies" since the season is now over and he/many post in here frequently in gameday threads and virtually everything that could have been discussed throughout the season.
If the "Newbies" weren't "Newbies", they would understand because Ripper and Tiz are two "other" fans (Eagles/Ravens) but they have been here posting great stuff all season. I think Booman was also thinking (as I know I was) that the massive influx of new posts is related to the fact that you guys didn't want to be here to support a losing team, and since we aren't playing/losing then you are here until the Cards stink up the joint again and then bye bye you go like many others since the start of the season. You can argue this and say you'll be here through thick and thin, but we all know that ALL of you won't be here next year (unless we are winning of course) to take the heat once you disappear into the night as we have been witness to for the past 17 (or more) weeks. Probably, this was a bad assumption but I guarantee you all won't be here much like some other "Group" that only comes around when a certain QB is playing...
"Newbies", welcome to the board and we really hope you stick around. I don't cast blame for not being in here earlier, as I myself just found a new religion (message boards) this past offseason.

I have been on this board and seen it upgrade 3 times (maybe four). Can't remember how many times it has gone thru changes. There was a time that I had only 10 posts. My point? How do you know who will become a longtime poster? I know that I have been on this board alot longer than you. Seen posters come and go. Out of state fan here. I haven't been a fan for too long- I am only 21 years old and have only been watching the NFL for about 4-5 years. I liked the cardinals since watching the NFL. It started off as a joke, with me buying an Emmit Smith Arizona Cardinals Jersey. Everyone made jokes at me. But as the season progressed i really liked following the cardinals. Now I am a die-hard cards fan. Spending hundreds of dollars to watch the cards play on Sunday (because their games do not come in @ Philadelphia. I understand some people do not appreciate out of state fans- and that is fine. But i am an out of state fan who wears my Cardinals merchanidise proudly in Philly area.
Cards rule-and just because where i live should not affect my patronage for my football team.

PS
I am always reading the message board-just because i dont post a bunch of times should discount my sincerity or devotion to the team.

It doesnt really matter if we are all living In diffent states. We are all Cardinals Fans If we wouldnt then why would people post on this forum when there are 31 more Nfl teams to post and show love to the team they love. 2006 was My first year as Cadinals fan I was 23 years as a Eagles fan. TO Made Me hate the eagles so not Iam a Cardinals fan. I Hope Therrel Owens dont go to the Cardinals Cause I dont know What al do
I dont think you have to worry about TO coming here--until of course Boldin and Fitz contract runs out, TO Is like 40 years old and still attempting to play. Then of course the cards will sign him just in an attempt to fill seats.
Dont take my joke the wrong way people-

I think it's funny that we are criticizing out-of-state fans considering that most of us in Phoenix moved here from another state at some point in our life.

Not to mention that the Cards themselves are from Chicage via St. Louis.

Seems to be alot of UK and Aussie fans of the team. Shall we kick all of them off for not having season tickets? There are also lots of out of town (and local fans) who can only afford to attend a game or two a year.
None of them are less deserving to be here then anyone else.
Exactly! Thank u Fiasco!

Don't ever let em tell you that you're not as big a fan as them or don't deserve to wear red.
Is 2007 gonna be your first year out for a game?

Yep! Leave in October, spend about a week or so along the west coast (SF,LA,SD) then head to Arizona to see the boys.
If all works we'll be seeing 3 to 4 games. My friends are Colts and Rams fans, so we'll eventually make our way to St.Louis and Indy

... so if you move "out of state," you should no longer be a Cards fan and won't post on Cards forums?

booman, I consider the Cards my team as much as it is yours. Having been a fan for 30 years will do that, but I certainly don't feel as though they're more mine than yours. I sense a lil hostility in your post. It's all love fam.
