I just saw a little story on FoxNews about something called Ghostriding The Whip. For those who've never heard of this, what this is is you are driving your car then while it's moving you get out and either sit or stand on top of the now driverless car or just dance along side of it.(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghostriding) Needless to say there are instances where things go wrong and people are getting killed or seriously hurt. What the hell is wrong with the youth in this country? What would cause someone to do something this stupid? Is there anyone on this board who thinks doing this is rational?

Yes, there are people that stupid. Hopefully they kill themselves before having kids. Though if they could actually dance along side a MOVING car, they might have some potential in track or something.

Sounds like some folks are battling for a Darwin Award.

My guess is that it's for the same reason one frequents a message board, attends a football game, etc. Bored and looking to fill a void. Instead of getting that "rush" from avoiding a 260 pd. linebacker, or climbing a 10,000 ft mountain, they climb on top of their car. None of it's rational, but it all seems to be human in nature.
Kinda like calling people stupid.

They showed one where this idiot riding on top of his truck and it started to drift so he jumped off. The truck hit a pole. Nice. I guess this idiot didn't think that a driverless vehicle will wander off on it's own and possibly drive through someone's living room.
