Hi,
I'm a student at UF and I'm flying out to Phoenix to go to the BCS National Championship game on Monday. I have a few questions for those of you who may be season ticket holders or just know alot about the area in Glendale.
First of all, a couple people in my group don't have tickets. Yes I know how prices are for this game and I know it will be different than an average home Cardinals game, but how is the scalping around the stadium? I've heard that there is a very strict scalping perimeter around the stadium. Are there places that tickets are more abundant than others? I plan on walking around with a sign saying I need a ticket the entire time I am there, but info on this would be of great help to me.
Secondly, would anyone happen to know how far the airport is from the stadium? How about each (stadium/airport) from Luke Air Force Base?
Also, I'm curious as to the surrounding area of the stadium. It looks to me (from pictures I've seen) like there is basically nothing around the stadium other than a parking lot and a desert. If those of us who don't have tickets can't find any there, it'd be nice if we didn't have to get in the car and drive 20 minutes to a bar to catch the game, but rather find something in walking distance from the stadium and still be in the search of a ticket.
Finally... I know some Cardinal season ticket holders got some priority on tickets. None of you have any extras that you would be willing to part from, do you?
