Even if Norm Chow doesn't get the job, I think they should at least bring him back for a second interview. That would send a good message to our QB of the future that hey we are listening and considering your input. If Norm doesn't get a call back aren't they in essence saying hey Matt shut your pie hole your opinion doesn't matter. Thats not even mentioning that A-Dub endorsed Chow also, and Edge said do right by Matt and this thing will turn around. I'll support whoever we get, but I think it only makes sense to give Norm a 2nd interview! Agree or Disagree?

totally disagree - not with the 2nd interview but because of what the players might think. Their opinion doesn't matter during the hiring process.

Well, as big as a Leinart homer as I am....Matt should not have any say in who gets the HC position....on the other hand, the FO should consider the fact that Norm was responsible for Matt's developement - correct me if I'm wrong, but this organization has not had many "franchise QB's" and like it or not, Matt is the one this organization selected.....so you build around that QB. Yes Auggie, Edge did state the above...he knows that his talent and Fitz and Boldin need that QB to get them the ball, make the plays, so that they can score the points.

And didn't Norm say that he felt Matt, in time, would be one of the "premiere QBs in the NFL"? Just look at the QBs that he has coached and who he is willing to leave to be HC here.

Norm is not the only good candidate for HC.....IMO just the best one.

QB development is such an important process. At SC, look at the QB's Chow developed - Palmer & Leinart. Leinart was a smash in college, looking good in the pros, Palmer is already there. Then take a look at JD Booty, played after Chow left. Not that he didn't do well and get the job done, but not with the same impressive statistics that Leinart and Palmer had. That is not to even mention all the other QB's in the list of Chow's pupils - Rivers, Young, etc. etc.

Tail Gater they have already stated that the players have been playing a role in the interview process. I'm just saying let's ignore our QB's opinion. Think about it if Matt takes a huge step this coming year so does the team!

You forget Chow had 3 years with Booty ALSO! He was the back up. Make no mistake he got plenty of Chows attention and wisdom also. When you look at Booty numbers at the end of the year 33td vs.9ints an of the hook rose bowl game 396yds, those numbers are squarely set in there with Palmers and Leinarts. I agree at this point there is no reason not to give Chow the job. He wants it. It would cap his long illustreous carreer! Heck, him and Matt could go for ten years and retire togeather! Give him the job! Like he could do worse then Denny Green. Please.
