View Full Version : Your input on Ring of Honor and Main Level

Ive been a STH since 1990 and have always sat in the upper level, both at SDS and UOPS. Weve always enjoyed sitting a bit higher than normal and until this year really never wanted to move to a lower level. I noticed immediately last season that the upper level is a bit higher up than I had originally thought and for the first time am considering trying to get lower seats.

I was wondering if anyone that sits in the Ring of Honor or the Main Level could share how they like their seats, the pros and/or cons etc. I think the input would not only help me, but others that are thinking about trying to change locations.

I can tell you that our seats are pretty good, but there is an annoying railing and plexiglass obstruction that kind of restricts the view of one of the end zones and, like I said, they are a bit higher than the same seats were at SDS.

Anyways, thanks for your input. Looking forward to your comments......

Do you like the view of the game being that close and low? I know CardsFanJoe does as hes been kind enough to PM me with his thoughts. I think it would be cool to be that close to the players, but wonder if you lose anything on the pass plays, etc. Thoughts??

I have been to a few games (not Cardinals) and sat down low and thought it was fun, but I kind of like being a bit higher to see the field a little better and watch some of the plays develop......

Arby I have always enjoyed watching the games From the upper levels, I have been down in the endzones a couple of times but felt the only advantage to the those lower seats was you are closer to the players and the action and the Cheerleaders and then "ONLY" when the teams are playing on your end of the field! Other than that I see no direct benefit of seeing only half of the game for the money! A few of you may have an argument against what I said earlier but as long as we fill the seats with Cardinals fans and you are happy with your seat selection it shouldn't matter!

Section 437 is a tad high but I love the view . I 'am six rows up in that section and the only thing I didn't like about those seats last year was ...... there seemed to be a lot of fans of the opposition sitting up there as well!

I have always liked the upper level at a football game, because you can get the view of the whole field. I sat in the corner of the endzone row 10 for the Fiesta Bowl and enjoyed bieng close to the field, but i have to say that i like my Ring of Honor seats much better.

We are in the Ring of Honor, row B. It is great, because nobody stands up infront of you, because they are in the front row, and i can stand up and not bother anybody, because there is a wall behind me.

Everybody i brought with me to the games last year was a little sceptical when i told them we were in the upper level, but when we got to the seats, the couldn't stop telling me what a great view and great seats we had. I'm looking to add 2 more ROH seats next year.

Other than maybe club level seats, ROH are the best seats in the house!!:Cards logo:

Thanks. I compare the view to what's usually displayed on tv - slightly further away as seen in the pic. Most of the people in our section are very satisfied with their seats.

We have seats in all three - club, roh, and nez. Before I had to quit going to games I got to sit in all three.

I really liked the roh because of the field perspective. It's one of the reasons I like the club level so much. I'm not much of a field level person because I like to see the whole field.

But that's just me.

My seats are killer - Ring of Honor, North End Zone, just east of center and ...ON THE RAIL, BABY!

When you look up to the ROH, I sit right over the second 'O' in 'Ring of Honor'. There is only one row behind me and I am 4 steps away from the main concourse. Beer stands, bathrooms, and even the smoking section are just steps away.

I do miss sitting with the masses like those below me but the conveniences and views from the ROH make it special.

Those center club seats are perfect..

I sit at the bottom of the Terrace level and like it. You don't get that 'in the game' feel but you can see all the plays develop, etc.

I sat in the lower corner end zone (Row 22?) for part of the Broncos game in Dec. and I didn't care for the view.. couldn't tell how far the plays went etc.

Thats my .02

MadJack - our ROH seats are just west of center in the NEZ right on the rail. I love love love that there are only two rows there.

Well if you're going to sit in Row 1 or Row A anywhere up top, you've got to avoid the huge railing they have by the aisle, so that means aisle seats are out.

I have Row A ROH and in some ways I'm disapointed, because back at SDS I had Row 1 of the upper deck, and it was much, much closer to the field and was incredibly good. But Row A ROH is still pretty good. There's nobody in front of you, you can see all the plays develop, plus you have real easy access to restrooms and concessions. And you can put your feet up on the rail without bothering anyone in front of you.

I sat for awhile in Row 20 down below one time, and if you like feeling part of the game, it's way better down there in that regard. It does limit your view of many of the plays, however. I was on the 30, and if someone was scoring at the other end, you could sort of tell what was going on, but not really. But when the play is right in front of you, it's incredibly awesome being up close.

Ideally, I guess I'd like to be in Row A ROH for most of the game, but maybe spend the second quarter or something up close down below just to get a taste of the action in the trenches.

We're exactly in the middle of our row. At first I thought the aisle seats would be the best, however, it's nice not to have our view of the game interrupted when other fans get up for the restroom or concessions.

It seems as if the aisle seat people get more frustrated as the game goes on?

I am on the aisle in seat 20 and have no obstucted view, but the guy in seat 1 across the aisle from me has a bar blocking his view of the game. So not all aisle seats have the rail in your eye line, be sure to ask about that when selecting seats.

As for letting people in and out during the game, i don't mind, that is why i selected the aisle seats, because i like to get up and and out during breaks in the action and i'm back before the game starts back up, in most cases. I'd much rather be the guy who stands up to let somebody through than the guy who has to say, excuse me, excuse me, excuse me fifteen times working my way back from the JOHN.

So, aisle seats are a matter of preferece, I for one try to sit in aisle seats at any sporting event i attend. To each his own.

Good luck in your seat selection.

Good points. Weve had isle seats for a while and although the railing does become a bit of a nuisance, I agree, it is nice to be able to get right out to go to the concessions, restrooms, etc. I really dont mind letting others get by. Like Ive said, the biggest thing I dont like about our current seats in the upper level is that they are much higher than the comparable ones at SDS. I think after reading everyones comments that I am going to try to get into the ROH. I guess the big question for us is which is better.....

50 yard line 2nd row of the upper level or 10 yard line or goal line ROH???

thoughts?

almost nothing beats hearing the quarterback go through his calls....hearing the robert griffith hit against detroit....watching q extend his arms for a td right in front of you. end zone is definitely a nice place to be!

I was lucky to have the pick to sit anywhere in the Stadium. The best thing about the lower level is that you are in the thick of the action. You really feel like the 12th man.

What is more important is to have a good set of fans around your seats. The fans around us this year were nice, but boring. Thus, we'll submit a request to move to a different row this season and hope for more lively seatmates.
