now that that we have hired Ken <insert correct spelling>, we could have a chance to lure Max Starks the massive LT from Pitt. Although he's a RFA, when I saw the hire this scenario immediately popped into my mind. He sure would look nice in cardinal red!:Cards logo:

He had knee surgery in December to repair a torn meniscus.

Wonder how his rehab is coming along?

thanks for the info. with or without the surgery to starks i want to resign big... i just thought starks could be a few bucks cheaper and a likelyhood considering our new coach "The Whizz":Cards logo:

if Starks is an RFA, i doubt we will pursue him this year. maybe by the time he becomes a UFA we could see him in Cardinal red, but i just dont foresee it happening until then.

I hope not. Tony Pashos is a much better RT and he's a UFA.

Max Starks RFA Pittsburgh Steelers

Starks is a starting tackle for a Super Bowl champion. That’s enough in itself to get some teams a little excited about the prospects of acquiring him. The fact that Starks is young, talented, and massive in stature—listed at 6’8”, 337 lbs.—just adds to the excitement pile. Another lineman that shouldn’t be going anywhere as the Steelers will not let Starks go without a fight. The best bet is that Starks will decide he wants to stay in Pittsburgh and sign an extension. If he hits the market, there will be a team or two willing to pay a big amount to entice the tackle to relocate.
