It's got to be a bad day to be Michael Strahan.

15.3 mil to the ex-wife.

20% of his income over the last 7 years.

18k per month for the next 16 years child support for two daughters.

$311,150 lump sum payment for past due child support dating to Aug. 05'

The judge also blasted Strahan for not remembering his wedding anniversary or wife's birthday.

Wow. OJ Simpson might have been on to something.

That sucks......it's just too bad that he has been taken away from his kids. But divorce division of property could be the most horrifically unfair things in our society today.

This is what happens when you're married and live in NJ. Believe me, I can feel his pain.

I was just thinking that today D!!! Good lord it would take everything I have as a man not to wring this woman's neck. Especially considering how nasty she's been to him! Granted it's nice to have 15 mil to lose, but ****. He still works for a living. And he has to pay child support too!

18k a month for child support? Is that child support or child spoiling?

Man our tax dollars put some really stupid judges at the bench...

Strahan could have had a video of his wife doing the nasty with the gardener and the NJ judge would still rake Strahan over the coals. The family court system is so one sided it's scary. I don't know of one man who has gotten the better of his ex in a divorce in this state.

I had some help from Peter King and MMQB:

Back in 2002, I moderated a program called "Married to the Game'' at the Yogi Berra Museum near my New Jersey home, with wives of four high-profile current and former athletes: Gretchen Randolph (wife of Willie), Carmen Berra (wife of Yogi), Jean Strahan (wife of Michael) and Joumana Kidd (wife of Jason).

In the wake of the tabloid-chronicled Strahan divorce last year, and the just-announced Jason Kidd petition for divorce from Joumana, claiming she beat him up with household items, I'm thinking of asking for a sequel to our panel: "Messily Divorced from the Game.'' Particularly since Jean Strahan got a divorce settlement of $7.5 million on Friday based on a pre-nuptial agreement, $1.2 million in back interest from the pre-nup, $6.6 million from half the couple's joint assets, half of the couple's $3-million home in Montclair, N.J. (no, it is most certainly not on my street) and $214,745 in annual child-support payments for their twin two-year-old daughters.

I'm not getting married. It sounds like a death sentence.

Marrige has lost all meaning, unless you really know the risks are very unlikely to happen the benefits of marrige are not worth it. Its more or less the fact people rush into things too fast these days.

I'm only getting married if I get a girl pregnant, because a kid deserves a functional family. I won't marry her if its going to make the kids life hell though.
