Wow, freshman Ty Lawson scored 18 and North Carolina absolutely butchered the wildcats IN TUCSON. This is the WORST home loss for Lute Olson in 24 years as coach of the team.

I know, I know, as a Sun Devil fan I know what its like to get blown out and our team has a LONG way to go, BUT, you wildcat fans have to be concerned over this. What the heck is going on here? Whats happened to the once mighty cats? Are they that bad this year?

Anyways, I cant believe they got routed that badly. Thats gotta hurt......

Maybe we will beat the Cats when they come here next time????

You only PAC-10 teams cuz your in the PAC-10.. Look at the teams ASU schedules outside the conference.. Thats what Im talking about.. And I seriously doubt youd do better than the Wildcats against UNC.. Top teams only play top teams.. So while your playing Colgate and Western Wyoming, the Cats will be taking on contenders cuz we earned it.. Earn something, then come back and talk..

This is just for you Gee......Western Wyoming Community College Preview!!!

Go Spartans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This year's Men's basketball team will rely on experience and toughness as it starts its inaugural season as the Mustangs. Six sophomores return from last year's Spartan's team all of whom experienced significant playing time. The returning players give the team much needed experience and leadership mainly at the guard positions which is a must at college level basketball.

Starting point guard, Sadraac Numa, is back to lead the Mustangs after showing great leadership and growth last year. After sharing starting roles at the shooting guard position last season, Tom Olsen and Auston Robinson also return. Starting much of the season last year at a number of different positions is third year player, Graden Trumble, who can play the point or shooting guard. Tye Allen starts his sophomore campaign after serving as a very important role player last year as the small forward. The only returning post player for the Mustangs is Mitch Jones who started the majority of the games last year at the power forward position and proved to be one of the top defenders in the region. The Mustangs added a seventh sophomore to the team with transfer player Harris Danesi who also brings much needed experience at the small forward after playing significant minutes for Western Nebraska Community College last year.

"We lost a lot of close games last year and the problem was experience," says Coach Jones, in his third year as the Men's Head Coach. "You can't do much about experience, you either have it or you don't and this year we have it. I hope that I am finally over the transition period as a new coach, we now have a good balance of freshmen to sophomores and that is so important to be successful in this region." "I feel like we have a great recruiting class this year, we didn't settle on any player and we only lost one recruit who we are fortunate to get as walk-ons. Toughness was our number one priority this season. We tried to sign good players who have the toughness needed to endure a successful season in this conference and region."

I don't really get what happened, we lost Williams and the gap widened from there...

You think after the first 10 missed threes you would just stop trying. That might have helped too.

All I know is that we had a chance to show ourselves on national television just like the Cards got to on MNF, and we got blown the **** out.

OK, so I'm in El Paso for the Texas vs. the Nation game on Friday. I'm on the UTEP campus right now typing on the message board...I'm wearing maroon and gold, and my gold Sparky snow cap. It's all good...until this guy walks in with a UA hoodie and a blue Wilbur Wimpcat hat. He sees me. I see him. The entire place STOPS and watches us look at each other. Wifey grabs my arm...then he sits down, so I sit back down. The music starts again. Everybody goes back to normal.

This is why I love being a Sun Devil fan. You don't back down, no matter where you are...especially not to a Wimpcat. :)

Jesus I'm starting to think Lute is actually losing it. How do you have a top scoring player in the PAC-10 and have the highest average score and drop **** like this?

The Cardinals curse is spreading to every sport in the state ******! ASU and U of A Basketball and Football went nowhere this year...

(Stop saying ASU is that much better at football, thats like saying the Lions are better than the Raiders because they have a WHOLE one more win. Congrats on being one ounce less shitter than us!)

U of A loses again!!!!!!

Wow, I cannot believe that the Wildcats lose again and are now on the outside looking in with regard to the NCAA tournament IMO.

Who would have ever thought that they may not go to the dance this year.

Like Ive said, I know, I know, ASU is still "O-fer" in the conference, but at least we are playing competitive against good teams and look like we are going to break through soon, but the Wildcats not making the Tourney is starting to look like a reality and that has got to be a shocker to the Wildcat fans!

What the heck is wrong with your team U of A people???......

Come on KJ, youve thrown some stones before, no?

You dont think they would be hammering us if the situation was reversed?

This is their pride and joy and they are really faltering this year. Hey, they still may make some noise in the tournament cuz anything can happen, but this is the worst shape Ive seen Wildcat basketball in many years.

Even though we are losing, weve played a lot of very good teams very close. We should have beaten UCLA!! That 18-2 run was rough!!

That's the thing about Cats fans, most can't take the heat and don't know when to admit their team sucks on occassion. Not ALL, but most I have come across. I think they are defensive because they know they aren't as good as they think they are.

No, thats pretty stupid. The fact is that UCLA is the class of the Pac 10 when it comes to basketball. They have the most history, its really that simple. Any Wildcat fan or other school fan that says otherwise is in denial.

Whats at hand here is the comparison between the Wildcats and the Sun Devils. The fact is the Cats are better, period. I've already admitted our teams sucking horribly right now, but that doesn't really give you guys that much room to talk.
