But U of A ranked #11 overall in the class of talent it just signed today. USC was ranked #1, and the poor 'ol Sun Devils were 43rd.

Why don't you wait a year until D Erickson has a chance to have full recruiting season and see where the Devils end up?

Dennis Erickson will widen the gap between ASU and UofA in that the Devils will pull away from the Wildcats even more than they are now. ASU is heading for some great times with Erickson while UofA will wallow in mediocrity!

Please tell me we looked into QB's that don't shatter on first sacks... because I'd sooner shoot myself than watch a game with Austin at QB after the atrocities he committed on the field last season.

If he is the main QB, I'm not even gonna try the kool-aid because there is no freaking chance with him.

Hey, this is fun.....ASU and UofA rivalry is just as ugly as USC/UCLA!!! :bibl: Do I get to see a big internet brawl break out???

Just kidding guys...keep building that talent and make the PAC-10 stronger!

Gee!

Just heard Dennis Erickson on the radio addressing the recruiting rankings and he said that hes had guys that had no stars next to their names become All Americans and hes also had guys with 3 or 4 stars that never did anything.

If hes not worried about it then neither am I..........

How about this dude? ....from azcentral.com

Dennis Erickson knew that Omar Bolden was going to be part of his first Arizona State recruiting class.
He agreed to keep quiet about it until Bolden, an elite cornerback prospect from Ontario, Calif., could have his say on a Fox regional telecast Wednesday night.
Bolden made his announcement with the kind of attitude that's typified Erickson's teams elsewhere. He swept aside hats from Southern California, Oregon State and Washington to don an ASU cap, symbolically proclaiming a start to the Erickson era.

I like this kid already

Arizona Grade: B
Arizona's presence in California and Texas continues to pay off, and DE Apiata Tuihalamaka (Gardena, Calif./Serra) has sensational speed and explosiveness to upgrade its defensive front. TE Rob Gronkowski (Pittsburgh/Woodland Hills) is a surprising get for the Wildcats. WR David Roberts (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.) is a playmaker. RB Joseph Reese (Pflugerville, Texas/Hendrickson) also could play on defense. The sleeper prospect for the Wildcats is QB Bryson Beirne (Honolulu/Mid-Pacific), who has all the makings of another Willie Tuitama. Let's just hope Beirne is more durable.

Arizona State Grade: C+

This class is just a shell of what future Sun Devils classes should resemble. The Sun Devils closed strong with RB/CB Omar Bolden (Ontario, Calif./Colony), who shunned other Pac-10 powers. They continued their run of under-the-radar, soon-to-be-successful quarterbacks with two signees in Samson Szakacsy (Camarillo, Calif./Adolfo), who they lured away from USC, and Chasen Stangel (San Jacinto, Calif.), who originally committed to UTEP. Defensively, ASU loaded up with three linebackers, including undersized -- but physical -- local product Colin Parker (Chandler, Ariz./Hamilton).

By the way Kid, do you have a link to where you found your Rankings? I'm not seeing Arizona ranked anywhere in the Top 25, but you have them at #11.

Hahahaha. What a thing to celebrate. maybe UA can throw a banner up there to go along with the many Bowl appearances or maybe induct every member into their wall of honor with the thousands of other nobody's on the stadium press box. Wake me up when you guys actually accomplish anything on game day.
