View Full Version : Will there be a select a seat day?

Back in the day...there was always a "select a seat day" usually around Feb or March. Season ticket holders could go to SDS and pick out different seats and actually sit in them before buying.
I'm guessing that that will no longer be the case since there is a waiting list.
I want to upgrade to the ROH or lower bowl, but would like to actually go to the stadium and make sure there are no obstructions and check out the sightlines before I reserve the seats.
Can anyone confirm if there will be a "select a seat day" for upgrades?
probably not huh

I would be surprise if there is a select a seat day. You might want to ask the Cardinals ticket office if current season tickets holders have 1st dibs on seats that are not renewed. I have a friend that is moving out of the country so I now he won't be renewing his seat.

The Cardinals haven't had a select a seat day at the stadium for a few years now. They have been holding them at the training facility which is good because you get to watch the practice up close but stinks because you don't get to see the view from the seat you are going after.

Your concerns are very valid and very applicable. We sit in the 2nd row of the upper level and also want to upgrade to the ROH. The one thing we dont like about our current seats is the obstructed view of one of the end zones. This was something that was impossible to know about without actually "trying out" the seats first, which of course, we did not do.
I would suggest just posting your questions here on the board because the people here are really helpful and knowledgabel about the seats in the stadium. Ive gotten a LOT of help from CardsFanJoe and others too. Keep posting any questions you have and I'll bet someone can answer them for you about any section, row or seat. Good luck, let us know what you find out.
Im going to try to upgrade our seats to ROH on the Cards side of the field, but have no clue if thats possible. I guess we'll know in a while.
By the way, anyone else have any comments about the ROH??? How do you like it there? Any negatives at all???

I just spoke with one of the ticket reps yesterday. He told me they are currently sending renewal packages. You have to make a 1/3 payment by March something.
He said if your wanted to changes seats you could send your request back in with the details of where you wanted to move to. His advise was be as "specific and vague" as you can.
The deal there is that if you tell them I want section XXX row ZZ in seats 9 and 10, your odds are as good as Al Davis finding a good coach on the first try.
If however you say I want to be in section XXX thru XXX below row XX no further than 5 off the aisle, your chances are as good as hearing "Touchdown. Leinart to Boldin." next season. (Well maybe not THAT good but you get the idea).
You are not going to get the chance to review their choice though. If they don't find what you're looking for, you get your old seats back.

Yea, there's no way they open the stadium and mark open seats. It's going to be as stated above...letting the ticket rep know generally where you want seats.
the stadium will be sold out for the next 15 years win or lose.

If you request an upgrade and don't like the location of the NEW seats that are offered by the Cardinals..........Can you just keep your OLD seats ??

If you give them precise information where you would like to be relocated to I do not think that you can go back, because probably they'll then have given your seat to someone else if they were able to make your relocation wish possible.

How long does it take to hear back from the ticket office after you made a request for a seat change or an upgrade????

Since this is the first year at the new stadium not sure if they will do it like they did as SDS, but when we put in for an upgrade we sent it in with our renewal and when we got the bill for the rest of our payment the upgrade was included.

That was back in the day when the cards had 67000 ST's available and aobut 20000 sold.
Now that they are sold out, times have changed. I can tell you there will be no SELECT A SEAT DAY. YOu wil lhave a chance to change, but it wont be in person. It's just the luck of the draw.
I for one welcome these kinds of problems. It's good to knwo that the Cards have sold out games for once. Remember the days of the empty bowl at SDS??? That sucked. GO CARDS@!!@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@!!!!!!!!!!!:Cards logo: :Cards logo: :Cards logo: :Cards logo: :Cards logo: :Cards logo: :Cards logo:
