Not saying they aren't good...but if you saw last night's game, you CANNOT tell me this team plays defense. And you can't blame Steve Nash for being a weak defender if he's not playing, so...do you Suns fans doubt this team coming out of the West? Just curious...

Gee!

lol.. You base everything youve suspected on one game? This aint football man.. Its an 82 game season, not 16..

We will be in the thick of things at the end..

So it doesn't bother you in the slightest that this team looks lost without Nash? Not one little bit?

Seriously, they have 3 key players out right now in Nash, Diaw, and Thomas. It ain't about how you're playing in the middle of the season, it's how you finish the season. If you don't think this team will be in the middle of things at the end, you're crazy. Every team goes through a rough stretch. You didn't have much to say when they were on their 15 and 16 game winning streaks did you!? The Suns will be fine. As long as everybody is healthy at the end of the season, I could care less what happens right now.

Why would anyone jump off the bandwagon??
How long have you lived in AZ kj? You should know AZ is a basketball (Suns) state before anything else.. Its probably the only team in AZ where the fans are the majoritiy of the residents.. No one is gonna jump off the bandwagon..

SUNS are losing a few games but are 9-10 games ahead in Pacific. So what we lose a couple with 3 key players out and in return get needed productivity from the bench. Stat gets his chance to shine. Marion comes back to reality and sees he needs Nash more than anyone. All will be well. SUNS still gonna win NBA Title. Championship comes through PHX it has the last 2yrs and will this year.:toot:

What bothers me is that suns have pathetic bandwagon fans like certain ones on this thread. The Suns lost one game to one of the best teams in the east WITHOUT their 2 best ball distributors.

This isn't football, it's a long season. The effort definitely wasn't there last night, but after the run these guys have been on and the Allstar break coming up, it's completely unsurprising that they have a bit of a let down without 2 of their best players.

So feel free KJ, jump off the bandwagon. There are plenty of teams in Dallas that would welcome you with open arms.

Seriously, how sad are you KJ? Are you a Laker fan posing as a friendly here on our little site? If you are a real AZ fan then you need to check yourself. I hate bandwagon fans. If you are giving up on the suns, (as your thread's title suggests) then you are not a fan. I think that once the suns have everyone healthy, they will be unstoppable much like they have been all season. Dallas is going to be a challenge for-certain, but those bunch of crybabies can't match us in heart.

AZ777 is right baby,

KJ, go root for the Mavs, they need the support. I always have been more of an observer, hence my lack of a post count, but you pissed me off. I thought you were cool. I thought you were a true AZ fan, I guess not. Just another transplant who jumps off the wagon at the FIRST SIGN OF ADVERSITY. PATHETIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone else on this thread? WELCOME ABOARD!!!!

Isn't it funny how everyone ASSUMED I'm a DAL fan...talk about prejudice. Apparently asking questions that aren't popular doesn't fly with a lot of Suns fans. I could care less about Crybaby Lippsey's Mavericks, we're talking about the SUNS and if they can win the West or not. :)

It was a simple question, I wondered if anyone doubted this team after the last few games and what took place, especially the CHI game. But since I've struck a nerve, I might as well ask...is this team going to stay healthy enough to win it down the stretch?

Dallas with out Dirk=No title shot.
Miami with out Wade=No title shot.
San Antonio with out Duncan=No Title shot.
LA with out Kobe=No title shot.
Phoenix with out Nash=No Title shot.
Utah with out Okur=No Title shot.

The list can go on.

Anyteam that loses a key player/best player on the team,is less likely to go far in the post season.

So yea...as long as Nash is back to him self before the playoffs,im not worried at all really.

I'm hoping he can take as much time as he needs.

I wonder how much it impacted Diaw and Nash when D'Antoni was only using a 7-man rotation during the win streaks? Perhaps if he had used a wider rotation earlier in the year, we would not have to discuss injuries as much. But we have got to be better on defense, regardless of who is on the floor.

YEa...aslong as he comes back 100% this could be a blessing in disguise...

Cause no way does the bench get this much time on the court if he is healthy.

Eh.. Did you see when Coach D put in the players outside the 7? It didnt work so well.. So who's to say we would have even had them winning streaks if he stayed with that?

BTW kj, I know you aint a dallas fan.. I know you dont like basketball all that much to begin with.. Your just stirring the NBA fan pot on here a bit..

Yeah, you could say that...I'm seeing a lot more Suns stuff lately, I even saw my first Suns hard hat yesterday. But in many ways we are like the Colts of the NBA. No one believes PHX's style of play will win a title...until it does. :)

You need to learn how to read son. I never Assumed you were a Dallas fan, I suggested that you become one because your new found, flaky attitude suits that team and their fan-base. You did touch a nerve because you suddenly became possessed by the spirit of a Dallas fan. You have always been cool on here about the Cards but then you start this thread and getting down on the suns, then when people try to defend the suns you accuse them of "drinking the purple and orange Kool-aid." Again, I aint mad atcha, just disappointed.

If you were merely playing devils advocate then you did a fine job. From what I read and your persistence on the issue it sure looked as though you have serious doubts whether or not the Suns can win a title beyond merely asking a question.

you CANNOT tell me this team plays defense...

this team looks lost without Nash...

To me, the biggest concern about this team is our coach. It's one I've asked every year since he's been here. Why, when we have all these injuries are players like Jumaine Jones and Jalen Rose riding the bench? It makes no sense and it really frustrates me. I believe that this team is going to win the title this year but it will only be thru a team effort. Guys like Jones and Rose are going to have to step up in certain playoff situations and that's going to be difficult for them if they haven't played all year.

GO SUNS!!!

Ah yes, the diminutive comments. Sure I played Devil's Advocate, but I really can't call this one...should we be optimistic because of what we've done so far, or should we be keeping it close to the vest because this generation of Suns hasn't won the WCF yet?

You're right, I do have serious doubts, but not because I hate the Suns...I am disturbed by some things I saw in the last few games because they may be precursors to what D'Antoni will do in the playoffs. I was hoping that we could at least bring in some guys from the bench to rest starters and not give up gobs of points, but that's not happening so far. And I was hoping that we could find a decent understudy for when Nash is out, but I don't see that happening either. So will PHX have to overuse Nash when he comes back to maintain a decent seed in the playoffs? I sure hope not - but that is my concern.

I agree 100% about Jones and Rose...whether they play "up tempo" or not, we will need them and the guys should get used to having them in game situations. But tell that to the coach...he's the one withholding the minutes.

I love how everyone forgets we beat the Nuggets without Nash, as well as the Trailblazers. So its 2-2

Don't blame John Paxon, blame DANNY AINGE. If you watch the game film, Paul Westfal says at-least 4 times, NO THREES. What does Ainge do? Leaves the best 3 point shooter on the floor wide open to double team Pippen!!!!!!!!!

grrrr that Danny Ainge. He will never be forgiven.

I just saw a Sunday game with the Spurs and Heat, so there's two teams off the top of my head using at least 10 men...of course, both of those teams have a bunch of guys over 30.

Shawn Marion has played 2001 minutes this season as of today...he trails these players around the league:

M. Miller (MEM) - 2142
A. Iguodala (PHI) - 2131
V. Carter (NJ) - 2048
L. James (CLE) - 2044
C. Butler (WAS) - 2029
G. Arenas (WAS) - 2025

So that would make Marion #7 in minutes played around the league...need a link? Here's the most currently updated one I could find.

Any other requests? :)

I've not fallen off the bandwagon at all. Hell i'll drive the **** thing if you want!

It was always going to happen, having a bad patch is part of the season. However, when th Suns have been good they have been AMAZING. Thomas will be back soon and Banks is starting to show he can contribute too. Come playoffs I see the Suns stronger than they have been so far this year. STAT is still getting better as well.
