How many of you are planning to move seats for the 2008 season?

Disclaimer: I plan to keep my same seats; I like the people I sat near last year.

I've requested a move. Anywhere in ROH (not holding my breath, but if you don't ask.....), 2nd choice, move closer to the 50 up in the Terrace, but only the first 8 rows. We're in row 6 at the 5 in Terrace. Will take them again, not that bad, but would like to improve if possible.

Understand from others on the board that we won't know until we get tickets?

Can't wait for the draft and camp.

I bet the people in front of us would change if they could. Mr. Mamamia is quite the rowdy fan. He told me that the guy in front of him actually said to him at one game: "I'm bringing my kids next week. Can you tone it down?"

Mr. MM said, "No."

Ah, the club seats. Where people golf clap for good plays.

I'm in 403, 3 rows from the roof so, I'd like to move down, but stay in the upper deck. Whatever that takes.

Trying to move from upper deck row 2 to the ROH or main sidelines. Have quite a bit of senority (STH since 1990), but we'll have to wait and see. Upper deck was a little bit higher up than we thought vs. SDS......

Yo Rick! I have 2 in 104 that my bro-in-law uses and we want to move those in as far as we can. I think with your seniority that you could move to a good spot. ROH is tough cuz there are so few of those seats. But with the move last year to the new stadium, people like me got to choose where we wanted to be, and won't really have a reason to move now. Ticket guy said last week that many people are dropping seats from, let's say, 8 seats to 6 or 4. With your seniority, something real nice could open up. We'll be some of the first to find out, it will be interesting. Also, Ticket Guy said last week that on the day we spoke, he alone had added 100 people to the waiting list. Now there are over 6,000!!!

I like my seats in 125 but would like to move to other side of the isle. For some reason people coming down always stop right in my view of the field and can't find their seats.

Sorry for that, but do you think that would be different on the other side of the isle? :garfield:

well yeah! I'm right on the isle, if I was on isle on other side, people wouldn't be blocking my view.

I like my section and seats but I've requested to move up one row if possible in the same section - to Row 1. I won't be devestated if they can't meet my request. The thing is, the people in Row 1 were never the same ppl all year so they are either corporate seats or broker seats. Can't hurt to ask.

I went to the Cardinals training facility to pay for our tickets and filled out the form to add 1 seat next to us and didn't have to put down a deposit.

That means yours won't process until all of the waiting list folks have processed. The deposit puts you on that list....I had to drop $400 for my two seats....But..the bright side is that I can apply it to my account if we don't get anything that will work this season.

You may want to find something that will work this season! Ticket Guy said there are over 6,000+ on the waiting list. Next year you may not have a better shot.......

We are picking up 2 more hopefully. Since we have 8 already we had to open a second account which puts in the back of the list, What a bummer

Hopefully enough fair weather fans will drop their tickets this year and open things up for those of us who want more. When I talked to the ticket office before the coaching changes they were expecting 8 to 10% of the people to drop their tickets this year. But since the Whiz got here that may not be true now. Does anyone know what the league average is for turn over of season tickets.

I don't think you could get a good answer to your question because 1) Teams do things differently with season tickets. and 2) the fanbase for teams is quite a bit different. In KC you are allowed to transfer tickets to another person for a $50 fee. When I moved from there a work colleague wanted mine and all it took was a simple form and the money and the Chiefs put those tickets in his name. I could have also turned them in and the Chiefs would have given them to the next person in line on their waiting list. In Pittsburgh, you can't do that. The waiting list is the only way to get tickets. In Arizona, I am a club seat holder. I can't transfer the tickets to someone else - even if I move again (hope not) I'd have to find a buyer who would be willing to pay for my season seats and then trust me enough that if the Cardinals get into the playoffs they could buy those seats as well. But the seats stay in my name until the lease expires, I die, or go bankrupt. I guess if the latter two happen football games would be a lot less important. Non club holders can just opt out and not renew. Long winded way to say each team has their own rules.

Then you have the fanbase. For instance, I've heard getting a ticket in Green Bay is next to impossible. I would think turnover here would be higher than most NFL cities. I don't have any stats to base that on, only that the sellouts came after a new facility was built and people might bail after 5-11. There are certain NFL cities where a sellout is the last thing an owner is worried about but the Cards aren't there yet. I renewed online and indicated I wanted two extra seats. I didn't put a deposit down - if I don't get them I won't be broken hearted but I suspect that I will get them. I still think the Cardinals are the best deal in the NFL as far as I can tell.

Now that I have not answered your question  I have another one. Say it's 5k on the waiting list. How many of those do you think changed their minds, moved, fell on hard times, etc. that won't take the tickets when their name comes up?

If they change their minds, they're crazy. Remember the $200 per seat deposit. They will lose that and their place in line if they turn tickets down now...

Tailgater
02-20-2007, 04:01 PM
Agree, Joe. Changing their minds is probably not a reason. Life circumstances though happen and I'd bet 10% of the tickets won't be bought. Actually I doesn't matter to me as long as the place is full and rockin!

Ya Cats and I are thinking about changing seats. She is going to move to 18 and me to 16. But we have reached an agreement that 17 cup holder should be for the binocks. But if we get 15 in the ROH, watch out, we are expanding!! More foot room, more for the beer and brats!!

We're in the ROH on the 20, visitors side and trying to move closer to the 50.

I'm pretty indifferent, as I'm quite happy with the seats we have. But for the same price, I guess the 50 is better.

I am staying in Club because they need some rowdy fans there and less people at the Lounge the entire game watching the game on TV on our comfy couches.
