with the vikings, texans, and dolphins picking 7-9 there is no way we wont be trading down with hou/miami so they can take quinn. there is no player that is worth us staying at #5 (peterson & thomas will be gone). adams looks good but not enough to keep us from scooping up an extra 1st day pick..we will have one of adams, branch, jamaal anderson, levi brown, landry, okoye or even pat willis to choose from. it just makes too much sense to trade down this year.:burgerking:

I'd hate for us to miss out on Gaines Adams. I hope we keep the pick and land Adams.:Cards logo:

Just a thought...Suppose we make the trade with Houston/Miami/Minn for their 1st and 2nd rounds. Then we package the second round we receive with a 4th or 5th to try to trade with Oak. or Det. to move up in the 2nd rnd. to # 1 or 2 in 2nd. Kalil, Staley, Ogoh, might still be there, then we could pick up RB Michael Bush with our 2nd rnd also. The possibility of a stud Defensive pick in the 1st, an OT, or OC, and RB in the second might be interesting. Of course it all depends on what happens in FA.

Also, if either or all of these teams do want to trade up for Quinn we could get into a bidding war and end up with more than we think we could normally get.

Why would teams trade up with us, when they could trade up with Washington at #6 for a better value?

The Redskins aren't going to take Quinn either. Don't get your hopes up for a trade. The Cards should stand pat and take Landry. :Cards logo:

I reject your reality and replace it with my own.

I'll have you know your reality is an illusion of my choosing, and my illusion of reality is just the reality of illusion.

That said, I would trade down!

I agree that if thomas is gone then this is the year to trade down

I agree I think once he has his pro day every one will be high on him again. It happened to young last year. :football:

I was going to say surely the vikings are the most likely to be the trade target if Quinn is there at 5. We arent going to take him. The Skins arent, but the vikes might if he falls to them (rather like Matt did to us). They probably would prefer someone else, so would be very open to offers.

I know some would disagree with this but what if the Raiders actually were using J Russell as a smokescreen and really had Quinn as their QB all along. You never know esp. with Houston last year.
