I like what I've heard about Hood...this web-site also said the Patriots are talking to Kyle Brady...He was someone I thought we might look at.:Cards logo:

I come bearing the views and voice on one Rod Hood, and overall, you will not be dissapointed with him.

:Cards logo:BETTER make an inpact during his visit though.

Arguably the biggest attraction for him is going to be the fact that he can start for this team and make a sizeable impact. I do not know if he is going to be expensive or not because when we had his contract run out in 2006 he only signed a one year tender as a RFA.

Hood's ability as an all around cover corner will make him the ant-thesis of what Arizona has had these past few years.

I just wish the Eagles would have done something with Sheldon Brown instead because then Hood would have moved into starter with Lito Sheppard: Brown had seriously regressed from 05 to 06.

Good luck :Cards logo:and I hope to see Roderick here.

Hopefully, we won't let him leave either, without a contract, if we like him.

I'm glad to hear he's coming in. IMO Hood is the 2nd best Free Agent corner option for the Cards, and since option #1 just signed a RIDICULOUS contract with the 49ers...I'm really hoping we can sign him. He is a very solid corner who would defiantly start for us...and I like the fact that he's coming from Philly who is known for having a tough, physical secondary.

I would also like to see us bring in Randall ***. He is a big corner, and frankly if he is good enough for the pats, then he is worth a look.

With that last name, the 49ers are granted first right of refusal, by law! :garfield:

No problem BHCF.

Trying to help with some knowledge of a great player and a greater person.

A few other things:
-Had three interceptions in 2005 when in place of Lito Sheppard who missed the final six games of the campaign with a high ankle injury.

-Had one sack last year but was a huge prescence in the blitz for Jim Johnson from the nickel.

-Averaged 22.4 a kick return in 2004 and 23.7 yards a return in 2005 with a long of 53 yards.

-Set career high with 42 tackles in 2005, 40 of which were solo.

Should excel as a starter for :Cards logo:over 16 games.

Most exciting thing? He wasn't even DRAFTED but is going to make it a good payday somewhere, and I honestly hope it is here.

I would be shocked if he actually chose Cleveland.

Just cause...it's a ******** dump.

I mean I know his ex-teammate Hank Fraley is there but some on...Arizona or Cleveland?

Roderick, we taught you better...you know what to do!

I think Hood has become our #1 target for opening weekend. We didnt grab any big names, and Im fine with that, but I know hood will be getting offers from several other teams, and we need to sign him. Does Anyone know what kind of #'s we would be looking at to sign Hood? I think the Clements deal will throw a wrench in the Cornerback Pool and cause all the money to go up, but I really think that Hood is now the best corner available, and we should do whatever it takes...even overpay him a little....to come to AZ.

4 yrs-30 mil???? how much are we talking
