Hey everybody,
I am coming over to watch the Cardinals this year. I have been a Colts fan since Peyton graduated UT, but I am ready for a new team to pull for. Besides, Pat Tillman is a hero.
So here goes...GO CARDINALS!

I forgot to add that you might encounter a person or two who will be unhappy that you aren't an "in-state" fan. Because of that detail, you may be referred to as "not a real Cards fan", but don't let it bother you...

First off I want to say welcome and I'm glad to see we have a new fan. Second of all don't expect to get off to 10-0 starts. We're not there yet. Although we should be a playoff team we have a lot of work to do. Don't be suprised if we lose in the most impossible way and your sitting in your seat shocked after the game. Hopefully those things will go away this year. You picked a good year to become a fan. Once again welcome.

Five was just to many. So Steveo if you have relocated to the Phoenix area and you want some great seats sec 137 row 13 seats 1 and 2, they are now available. South endzone eastside.

Can't argue with reasoning like that.
Welcome aboard Steveo! Not used to people jumping 'off' the bandwagon of a Superbowl winning team. Good for you.

Welcome Steveo. I switched over 4 years ago after 23 years (re: my whole life) of hardcore Viking fandom. My reasoning was a little different but the result is the same. I am even more passionate about the Cards than I was about the Vikings. So it is possible. Sort of like falling in love with one's second child with just as much emotion as the first. Heck, to this day I still don't like the Lions, Bears, Packers, or even Bucs (NFC Central days). And even though my dad can't let go of them, I have always hated the Cow girls. So I hope your stay in Cardinal land is as rewarding (yes, debunkers, rewarding) as mine. :Cards logo:

I don't know about him, but I got a home town team and not one 1000 miles away...If that makes me a homer then by god I'm a homer!

Welcome to the club! Heck, I wish more people would.. Because of where I live, I've not once met another cardinals fan in person in my entire life.... Seriously.... I don't think I've even met a person who KNOWS another Cardinal fan, so when I type "DelawareCard", I literally mean it, because I think I'm the only one in the entire state.. This is starting to make me depressed, I better go now:)

Why the change of heart might I ask?
I still think Peyton is a great guy. I am just ready for a change. Out of all the teams I considered, AZ seemed like the best choice because of the association to Pat Tillman. Being a vet myself, I have always wondered why more pro athletes didn't enlist during a time of war, and the fact that Tillman not only did so, but he gave the ultimate sacrifice makes him a hero. The Steelers have a guy who joined the Marines recently, and I think he is deploying soon, or already has deployed. In fact, he was Tillman's roomate at ASU, but I don't have his name. Besides that, the Marine has a long way to go before he proves his name should be mentioned in the same sentence as Tillman's.
Anyway: GO CARDINALS :Cards logo:

Sure. Why not? I am a fan of football. My state has a team, but I still consider them the Oilers, and I never really liked the Oilers. Besides, in today's global environment, state boundaries can be irrelevant. I can purchase the games, come to the website, and if the Cardinals come out this way for a game, maybe I'll go and cheer for the away team...LOL

WHy not a steeler's fan? Why would Jeremy Staat have such along way to go to accomplish what Tillman did? Everyone who goes over there is a hero. Tillman got shot by his own outfit. If Staat makes it back he's accomplished more than Pat, he stayed alive.

"If"-- big word
"Accomplished more"---depends on what he has done.

Because he wants to be a Cardinals fan. That should be enough for you.

All soldiers are not heros. Tillman died in combat, that automatically makes him a hero. Staat may be a hero too, God forbid he would have to go that route.
Watch the movie "Blackhawk Down". No one asks to be a hero.
