One thing that appears certain is that this team will look much different then in the past. The Cardinals have almost always been a "passing" type team. Nobody has ever really thought of them as a "tough" smash mouth team. Whis is trying to change all of that mind set with a new style of players and style of play.

Whis has already said this will be a running smash mouth team. By nature teams like this have to play with an "attitude" on both offense and defense. The signing of the blue collar/tough as nails types as Terrell Smith as your FB a huge step in this direction. I think we will draft either Thomas or if he is gone it will be Brown. The OL will be resolved early in the draft. Both of these guys are run maulers.

The team will look much more like a Steelers team, so don't expect Leinart to be back there in 3/4 wr formations. I love this style of play plus the defense "feeds" off this nasty smash mouth style.

The defense will need to get tougher, as they will be relied upon to keep the game close. Hopefully there's still more changes coming on that side of the ball.

And the offense still needs a blocking TE.

But, it certainly is a welcomed change in team concept, compared to what we've seen recently with an over abundance of skill players and not enough tough guys like Adrian Wilson to do the dirty work.

Right on Bro, this will not be your "daddy's cards". One thing about teams that play this style of offense, the defense has to step it up another notch. The games will usually always be close and they can't give up big plays or special team blunders. RACKERS must get back to his pro bowl form, he is going to be the difference in a lot of these games at the end.
