Will a democratic president show better judgement with the war in Iraq and the entire mid eastern tension?

No and history backs me up. Carter did nothing about Iran and Clinton treated terrorism against the U.S. as a law enforcement problem and there is not one Democratic candidate who has the nads to do what needs to be done except cut and run and surrender.

Okay, well tell me what you know about John Edwards, what about him? I've been trying to learn a little on him.

In a very few words, he's an ambulance chaser. He's also a hypocrite in the first degree by telling everyone how Jesus would be disappointed at Americans for being selfish and self serving all the while he has a multi-million dollar mansion built to go along wiht his other multi million dollar mansion.

Well, he did say there were two Americas. He just decided he needed a big house in each one.

He can't say that! I'm working on getting that trademarked! OK, not really, since he didn't steal my two Americas, his has nothing to do with travel.

I don't think a new Democrat will be an improvement. There hasn't been a good Democrat since Kennedy. The party moved way too far to the left.

IF you consider the choices, neither the Repub's or the Dem's will have a strong canidate in '08.....We will be choosing between the lesser of two evils once again......Don't believe the scare tatics used by W this past election will have the same effect....America is beyond being threatened by its own politicians.....Whoever slings the LEAST amount of mud, might get my vote...I am tired of "bashing the other guy", Let me know what YOU can do, not what the other one can't.....The vote for the White House has become a High School Popularity contest as of late.....

I am a republican, from a republican family. But I am voting for the man, not the party at the next election.

Bush has been a disaster. I have faith we'll be in for an improvement in 2009 regardless of the political party of the new President.

This is why we need a viable 3rd party candidate. This would be an election that if a Ross Perot type ran he'd actually win a couple of states.

Well, seems like you're much more pro-Bush than I am (based on other Posts of yours, not this one) - but we agree here. Both parties have betrayed the middle and working class of this country ( in other words just about all Americans). Money does the talking, partisanship is more important than what's best for the country. We do need a strong Third Party candidate, but who knows if one will emerge. There are dozens of Third Parties, but they are weak and fragmented. Look at what became of Perot's reform Party - they tore themselves to shreds with internal fighting.

I'm still hoping for a decent Libertarian candidate.
