I heard a rumor that the starting five offensive lineman were going to be as follows:
lt-mike gandy
guards-letui and wells
rt-ross
Can anyone confirm or deny this for me. Forgive the ignorance, I am out of the loop right now. I really hope that I am wrong about ross though.

As of now, yes. Per Whiz.

the info is true, so far. Apparently, the coaches have a higher opinion of Ross then the general public. But it's early June anyway, so it could mean nothing, and we could see a Gorin-Brown-Johnson-Lutui-Levi OLine come spetember.
by the way, my new attitude regarding the OL is as follows : Russ Grimm, Ken Whisenhunt and everybody else in the coaching staff know a whol e deal more about football then I do, therefore whatever they say is right, until proven otherwise. Give it a try, it's strangely refreshing :)

They obviously know about O Ross....Yes he has stunk up the joint the past couple of years, but will he be able to get away with that under Grimm and Whis?? He will be in an OLine scheme that he was used to in Pitt, when he started the Super Bowl.....

Don't feel bad, there is so much bad info about Ross out there it is laughable. To think he will start the season protecting Matt's blind side at right tackle is hilarious. Ross can't protect an old lady.
If Grimm and Whis liked this guy so much in Pitt, how come the team used a third round choice the next year to draft Max Starks and let him start next year while they let Ross get away in free agency.
Grimm is smart enough to know Ross can run block, but not pass block. If he could have done both, we would not have drafted Levi Brown, for heaven's sake.
