True. I'm just waiting for when the NBA quits the BS and has a ref get distracted by the coach standing and yelling on the sidelines only to turn his back on the game as Artest comes flying through the crowd and delivers a chair to the back of Tim Duncan...I mean really Stern you are so close to being the #1 sports ENTERTAINMENT product out there but you insist you're legit. Stop faking!

In Germany we had a pretty big gambling scandal a couple of years ago. A soccer referee was convicted for getting paid for forging games with bad calls and betting on the games himself.
Behind the whole scandal were brothers from I think Croatia who bet on the forged games and made hundreds of thousands of Euros. During the trial they admitted to also have bribed players to influence the results. A number of other referees were accused but not charged.
The name of the referee who was sentenced to jail is Robert Hoyzer. Sometimes when a really bad call is made people still say "What a Hoyzer" about the referee. If a player were to say it to a referee during the game he can be ejected.
