Cards vs. Chargers sold out
The Arizona Republic
Aug. 22, 2007 01:25 PM

The Cardinals announced that Saturday's NFL preseason game between the Chargers and Cardinals at University of Phoenix Stadium is sold out and will be televised live locally on ABC-15.

In order to air live on local television, league rules require games to be sold out 72 hours prior to kickoff.

With this week's game officially a sellout, the Cardinals have sold out all 12 games they have played at University of Phoenix Stadium, which opened a year ago.

I noticed at last week's announced sell-out that there was never more than 75-80% occupancy.

I guess (with it being the ******** Texans) that there were lots of single-game Cardinals curiosity going on while many season-ticket holders took a pass.

I hope we beat the Charger's on Saturday. I sat in their Club Section last December and had to listen to dozens of people comment all game long how we didn't deserve to be on the same field. (They shut up when Q broke tackles down to the 3, but were noisy again after BJ dropped the touchdown.)

Not as bad as the Cardinals!! hahahahaha. Your season will end by week 6. This board will then be as quiet as a morgue with only the faint sounds of draft talk to fill the air.

hehehe I'm just defending my team that's it. Nothing personal. I actually root for the cards when I'm not watching the bolts play. I'm not the type of fan that will ***** on the home team because they're not MY team. Arizona has been good to me so GO CARDS. I just wish they were a bit more consistent. I was very happy last year when they almost beat the bears. That showed a lot.

Yeah you and me both! I root for the Chargers since they are the next closest team to AZ and they are in the AFC so it's not so bad. Hope they have a good year....don't know about Norv as the HC though!

Tell me about it. I'm not really happy about it although if you go to our boards you've got a ton of members all of a sudden comparing him to Belichick all because they both had bad starts to their careers. Kind of stretching a bit there if you ask me. No one even mentioned him when we were looking for a head coach and all of a sudden now everyone is blaming his bad coaching history on the organizations he coached for. Give me a break. Oh well we'll see. I hope he does good and our players carry him.

Well here we go again....

Sold out stadium and here I am stuck in Los Angeles having to eat $120 because I get charged the same for Preseason as regular season on my season tickets. UNBELIEVABLE!!! Every year $240 down the drain.

Every team in the NFL has the same policy. Just consider yourself lucky in the fact that we don't have PSLs and that we don't ahve to pay $20/game for parking. I have freinds that live in Denver that have season tickets and they have PSLs, their ticket prices are about 20% higher, and they have to pay $25/game for parking close to the stadium. Even the off lots at Invecso will charge $10....and then you have to hike from LA to get there....LA being Lawerance and Arapahoe....

Donate them to charity, dude. You get a tax write-off and will probably send some lucky kid(s) to the game. I know the Cards do stuff with the local Boys & Girls Club so maybe you could check with them.

Better than having the tickets go to waste.

Go Cardinals!

I am not complaining, even though it probably sounds like I am...I feel lucky and proud to be able to buy tickets and support the Cards every year. Just sucks that I live far away and it is tough to go to the game. If I were in AZ I would not be piping up because I would be stoked to go to all the games, inc preseason// :cardinals:
