Come on folks, NO team, including the Pats, score big on every pick. Many first round picks will bust EVERY year, let alone 3rd round. Just because Whiz has the cahones to make the call early on a miss, don't persecute him. MOST pundits thought Davis was a steal, and MOST may have to eat crow. It's easy to see things in hindsight, but we may have our RT for the next 10 years, a developing NT and a great return prospect.
JUST RELAX!!!!!

I agree wholeheartedly, should Whiz have kept him and had another Rolle on his hands? Cut the guy some slack.

Exactly!! In fact, cutting Buster along with demoting Rolle to 2nd string shows that Whis means what he says.

I'm impressed that Whisenhunt has the guts to admit a mistake was made. A lot of guys would have let their ego get in the way, including several of our former coaches. One of the greatest qualities a man can have is humility. I wish our country had more leaders with the ability to admit when they've done something wrong.

Good post. I was thinking the exact thing. Some may have kept him just for the sake of not admitting mistake and then let someone else take the blame, e.g., new coach.

They should of drafted Hughes the corner from Cal.....

There is some comparisons Whiz carries the coaching Burdens which are well defined. He made the correct cuts and wins games or loses games with the results. Ask Denny! they didn't even include Denny on the NFL films 2006 Cardinal video and IMO that was wrong Denny left Whiz and the Cards with a talented football team.
Give credit where credit is due.
Not too be too political but Pat is a hero and a soldier, once a soldier always a soldier for eternity. I'm a disabled Army veteran myself. And I am proud of my body of work but not everything I ever did as a soldier.
The soldiers burden is and always will be to carry the burdens of War so Our family don't have to, Thank the stars they may never understand, and there is no guarentee that the enemy will plan, train and live their entire life for the moment they can blow up themselves and your spouse, parents and babies.
Make no mistake about it this enemy has been the most ruthless for 1000's of years and has attacked 100's of cultures before they attacked ours they have always won because their idea of victory is noncomprehensible by us or the other cultures. Blow yourself up and enjoy scores of babes and riches for all of eternity!
Our only elected troops carry the political Burden so the soldier don't have too opposite of reality of vietnam. Members of other branches of government that voted for the war with the same information join the media and many allies in spitting in our elected troops face on a daily basis. And he accepts the political burdens of war rallying the troops and protecting troops from their own country's dysfunction and the worlds smite.
Read his speeches about a long war against a ruthless enemy. He predicted America would lose stomach for this war years into it but he promised he would not yield until the mission is accomplished and he predicted a huge cost in lives and money. The people are so protected they can afford hear but not listen.
But hey the economy is great and so far individual American have paid , well a huge tax cut toward the war.
The only folks that never make mistakes are in a grave yard. So Ride on Whiz and I'll cheer and keep your back. Until it's over what ever it is. I appreciate your coaching.
And elected troop I'd go to war with and for you like I did with and for your dad. Recruiters say I've become more than I can be or I'd be there now. Be all that you can be. I appreciate your principles and leadership in troubled times. Lead follow or get the hell out of the way.

Please tell me that you are not comparing being a football coach, and making decisions about a guy being cut from a football team to being thrown into a political whatever their calling it, i back our country 100% but there is NO comparision between sports and loss of life
