The Ugly:
1. Too many penalties..."Disciplined Football" missed the plane to St Louis.
2. Two pics and a fumble (I think he was down, though)...lets a bad team hang around too long.
3. Officiating was pretty bad, I thought. We benefited, but I prefer they get things right.
The Bad:
1. Punter, Barr, had a poor day, shanked a couple.
2. D line was non-existant for much of the game.
3. Another FG miss (blocked) that could have hurt.
4. Leinart's injury...let's face it, this isn't good and will be a set-back in his career...his second season ended early by injury. He needs to bulk up and get stronger.
The Beautiful:
1. Some questionable calls go our way.
2. Offense put up 27 points despite not clicking most of the game.
3. Bryant Johnson was strong today, really played well.
4. 3 piks, all huge.
5. A WIN!!!!!!!
Whiz will have plenty of opportunity to coach this week. There were way too many mistakes; but we won and in years past, that wouldn't have always been the case.

To be fair, the D was exhausted, they were out there for WAY too long. We didn't seem to vbe able to put together decent drives. I think the longest drive we had was the one that ended in our gift TD. Other than that we went 3 and out way too many times today.:Cards logo:

Hood had a stellar day, he was due. I still think are corners are weak though. I didn't see much double coverage on Holt. And to let a rookie RB gain over 100 yards is unfathomable.

From Fox Sports
"Rams coach Scott Linehan challenged the play, which was later reversed to a James touchdown. Referee Gerry Austin told a pool reporter that a subsequent replay angle showed that James' elbow was down before the ball came out and that play should have resumed with a third-and-goal from 1." :duh:
On the kicked ball call, Austin said another official reported that at least two defensive players made contact with their feet, one of them deliberately.
For once, a mistake by the guys in stripes goes our way...:yahoo:

The Cardinals laid everything on the line against the Steelers. That was a very intense and hard-hitting game. It had to be a huge emotional letdown to go on the road and play the Rams. The Rams laid it all on the line today. The Cardinals won. I'll repeat my summary of the game: The Cardinals won. Matt got hurt, the O-Line had to improvise, and...The Cardinals won.

I don't know why everyone is upset about the james fumble TD. I think the way James was running if they gave it 3rd and 1 we still would have put it in. I have no doubts about that. I look at it this way. A win is a Win. about time these calls go our way.

A win may be a win, and I'm happy for this one. That said I think this win wil lbe tainted by the many controversial calls, and the fact that we really made a injury riddled, sub par team look descent today. Where was the defense that played in Pittsburg? Sure we got some good pics in the second half but where was our D-line at?
As for the controversial calls. We got lucky with the first touchdown. Edge was obviously down, and even if it were a fumble the Rams player should have been credited with the recovery for a touchback. The second touchdown was a good call by the ref. if you watched the halftiem show they even broke out the rule book and explained it. The first player to kick the ball might have been acicdental but the other guy definately kicked it intentionaly.
I've been a fan for 2 plus years and it's nice to the team win a game they should have won. I just wish they would have left no doubt in anyones mind that they won it hands down. This one was just too messy, and too close against an 0-4 team, that looked morel ike a 4-0 team at times.
In the end I'll just sign off with a: :cardinals:
Keep the wins coming.

You know, for the first time in a long time, I am confident that all our problems can and will be solved. Why? Whisenhunt!....I see no reason why Whiz won't make the best of this injury to help Matt get better, and make sure Lott helps him get stronger for next year, that he'll continue to tweak the defense, and make adjustments and get guys to stop up in the face of injuries. I can honestly say that even if the Cardinals are winning, I'm not worried about our nagging problems. Whiz will fix them!:Cards logo:
