We can't feel bad about this loss. The defense was amazing for the majority of the game. You can't blame them for breaking down late. You can't blame Tim Rattay as he probably didn't know half the plays he had in his playbook. You can't blame Rod Hood as it looked like he lost the ball and then Steve Smith and didn't realize Smith had the ball when he stopped running. He had to look right where the sun was shining through so I'm not nearly as down on him as the announcers were. For us to keep that game close for as long as we did was impressive with Rattay in there. Hopefully Kurt can make it back soon and if not, I say we see what shape Jake Plummer is in and try to make a trade. With our QB injuries this season may be over but there has been a lot of promising stuff that makes me think a healthy and learned Leinart can lead this team deep into the playoffs next year. Sorry, but I feel bad about this loss. The Panthers were in the same boat as we were without their top 2 QBs and we were at home, so this loss hurts bad. We need to suck it up and go into DC and pull one out somehow.

Fans have a right to be dissapointed. We can't blame Rattay after he just arrived less than a week ago. Still too many costly penalties!! I thought this team would be better disciplined by now??? Receivers dropping too many catchable balls. Defense getting coverage mixed up. Are these guys going to practices during the week or what?? Mental mistakes are killing us more than the QB situation!!
I hope Coach Whiz can come up with a remedy to this.

Good post. Honest and straight forward.

These are many of the same things coach Whiz said after the game.

I'll tell ya, I really like our coach. No excuses, and he has the class to take responsibility and tell it like it is. Good man and he will win here IMO....

We forced ZERO TURNOVERS....and basically gave up in the fourth quarter when we were going down.

We need to take that ball away brotha.
