Why don't we go get shane Boyd back, he wasn't great but he at least knows our plays and maybe would perform better with the starters. I just think it is crazy to play Rattay with 7 practices.:Cards logo:

He made some mistakes, but he knows the offense and would be much more confident in there. His scrambling ability would help with the recent oline play.

Not sure why he wasnt even thought of. He is better than Hasselback and I think could have done better than Rattay did is this last game.

Cards must carry 3 qb's on the roster from here on out.

are you kidding me? Boyd was trash.....even Whiz knew it.

he kept Lang Campbell on the PS and kicked Shane to the curb, because, well, he sucked

Rattay is a veteran that has had some good NFL games....given the circumstances, he didnt play badly

Anybody else remember all the vanilla talk from 6 weeks ago. How does Shane Boyd playing basic packages in the preseason equate to him knowing the offense. I agree he's got a little scrambling ability in him, but the only plus I would give him is a little more familiarity with our personnel than Joe Schmo off the street.

this is definitely a huge slap in the face for shane boyd's playing ability. the coaches, clearly, didnt think he was ok to be a third string QB, much less face full-speed NFL. but i wouldve loved to see what he could do. rattay looked totally lost & i'm just a casual observer. i think we can all agree boyd is a step up from toby corrodi.

absolutely ! well said, and the last INT was because of a silly bomb downfield in hope of some points with a minute remaining - which to be honest who can blame him for trying ? :peace:
