did anyone else get this email? does the link work for you guys?
I know it doesn't mean we can get in and watch the game, and i know there's work involved.....
but i just wonder if it would be worth looking into, does it mean we can actually be on the floor for the Tom Petty concert?
I wouldn't want to be anywhere near the stadium if i dont have tickets, but something like this might be cool if say there was a separate place to park and they took us in for halftime, and then out so i could get back home before the rest of the crowd

I know a number of people who have volunteered for the SB and the first thing they are told is that they will NOT be watching the game. I doubt if this is any different otherwise the positions would already be filled.

The did seem to be a problem with the link. In any case, here's the address: http://www.superbowlproductions.com
Click on the "volunteer form" tile on the left side of the page.

I filled out the form.
I think of it as choice between being to tell one of two stories.
Story A) I watched the game.
Story B) I was on the field at halftime. I helped them roll the giant stage out and set up for the halftime concert, then I got stand there right by the stage during the concert and then helped break the stage down and roll it away. Of course I DVR'd the game so I could watch it - and see if I got on TV - later.
Watch the game? Or be part of the game?
I don't think they make choices easier than that one.

Same here! being to spend time with the family/friends! Except, you are with people you enjoy more, unlike xmas time where you HAVE to spend with people that annoy you.:redtowel:

Why would I want to give my time for FREE, when everybody else involved is earning Millions or even Billions of $$$?
This has got to be the biggest scam on the planet.

To each his own and this is just how I see it but I pretty much just laughed and instantly hit delete when I read that email. You know they are going to milk you for everything they can get out of you and you aren't going to be able to see any of the game so why bother? What's the point of being a football fan if you can't be a fan on the biggest day of the football and sporting year and instead be relegated to gruntwork just so you can be on the field for 15 minutes? No thank you.
I'm going to soak up all the fanfare and festivities leading up to the game (partying my *** off for two weeks) and then come game day have the fellas over, fire up the grill, crack more than a few ice cold cervezas and enjoy the biggest game on planet on the wide screen. Since there won't be any meaningful games until September I gotta make the most of the last and biggest one!

I love after the Super Bowl, listening to the Jim Rome Show. he always wonders where all the overly enthusiastic people come from who camp it up during the halftime show.

Kid- I emailed you about this, but for any of you who may be interested in taking part, there are groups trying to get together but need people.
I had a girl email yesterday asking that I help her find people, so I let her write about it here- check it out if you want to join a group-

I signed up for pre-game. Not as much rehearsal time and maybe get lucky and see some guys warming up(will bring wifey's Favre jersey just in case the Pack gets in and have Bret sign it. yeah right). Then off to Westgate to party for the game. Gonna be sweet!

Are you guys doing "Up With People" this time, or "Cirque de Soleil"?
If you can get close to Q and yell "I'm a grown-*** man!!!" on national TV, that may be worth something...:)

If they ever make another Batman movie with the Scarecrow as the lead villain...Tom Petty's a shoe-in. :)
The question is, will he be better than Prince?

I will be on TV...Just not wearing my GameDay Sunday best. No other NFL apparel then the two teams participating is allowed.....And no HATS! So, I'm going to look like an average clean cut Kid Rock jammin' to Tom Petty! I will have something special goin' on...You'll have to watch the halftime show to catch it!

Did my pre-game stage crew rehearsal today. Stood on hallowed ground(cardinals playing field). Sweet!
Then was asked if we wanted to be part of the cast for Alicia Keys(wow is he hot, and so are her dancers). Now I know how Kid feels, dancing with all those hotties :)

You do realize the pictures violate the NDA, and could get this site in legal trouble for their presence here, right?

I certainly went into this expecting not to see any of the game but, I have to say that getting to watch the first half while standing on the field in the corner of the end zone more than made up for the work that went into the stage crew rehearsals.
I'll be volunteering for the next one.
