Worst Uniform Changes

Watching the NHL Channel's Classic NHL is pretty cool and it allows one to see some pretty old games. A few nights ago they had game 3 of the 1979 preliminary round of the playoffs featuring the Flyers vs. Canucks. This reminded me of one of the all time worst uniform changes in history. The Canucks went from this:

And I'm talking about total changes because it's easy to pick alternate jerseys and such. A perfect example is Oregon. Youch. Or even the Seahags going from the blue shirts, green trim, silver helmets, silver pants to those hideous blue pajamas;

ok good, Palermo Soccer club. Im sorry but no team should ever be made to wear pink. There original jersey when they were in the Serie B was black with a light purple lining.

I never liked the hockey stick on the front! Was too little kid like in design. BUT they win the ugliest change in history award for whatever those yellow and orange things were. But many teams started out with ugly and got better.

Am I the only one that thinks the Oregon Unis would look 100pct better if they simply used a proper font for the numbers?

Looks like a kid made them in the 1st grade the day he was learning to write numbers for the first time. To me, at least.

I watched a special on them, and the numbers were carefully thought out and are ment to cone down like that. It gives the player in it a slimmer, more form fitting look.

As for the Canucks in general, they did eventually change their unis to look better. The colors aren't all that bad, it was that "flying V" that was hideous:

I always hated the silver and black Kings unis. Simply horrible. For some reason they wanted to look like the Raiders(which was the motivation for the change) instead of the more successful Lakers colors.

Those all yellow Kings uniforms were the worst. Looked like pajamas. I didn't mind the change to silver and black, and I'm still deciding whether I like the new ones. And don't forget, that purple was called Forum Blue! Please!
