i was a 12 year old 6th grader and i ran out among the first 100 people(from the lodge so gettin down there that quick was an accomplishment in itself). i then ran to the center of the field where a bunch of fans were moshing with the players. then it all dispersed and i was left alone as 300 people carrying the goalposts charged across the field and nearly stampeded my ***!...IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!

I watch from upper deck. I was amazing. One of the greatest moments in my life. The crowd just huged, yelled, it was true Nirvana.

I ran from the upper deck, scaled the fence and landed head first losing my hat. I danced at the 40 yard line while the the north goal post came down. I grabbed a hunk of turf which I brought home and planted in my backyard. It grew for about 4 month until I mowed it and it died. It was an amazing experience, maybe the best sports experience ever.

I did manage to get turf from my buddy who rushed the feild. I had it in a jar for a long time. Then during a move it went missing.

My hat story was pretty cool. It was my favorite hat that I had purchased on a trip to Jamaica. I lost it when I did a head plant climbing the fence. (I still don't know how I didn't break my neck, guess I was lucky to hit grass and not concrete). That night I wrote about the experience on a Jamaican message board and how I lost my hat. A women from Blacksburg Virgina read my post and happened to be going to Jamaica the following week, She went down the beach and bought me a new hat, and a few weeks later it arrived in the mail. A total stranger did that for me. It was just icing on the cake for the greatest Cardinals victory ever. :toot:

My son and I always talk about that experience. We were in the SEZ, section 39, jumped the fence and went wild with the rest of them. Remember the guy who was hanging from the north goal post crossbar? He was wearing saggy baggy jeans, someone pants him and he was commando!
I brought home turf and planted it also. Then, when the goal post came down, some guy had a huge pocket knife and was cutting up the endzone net. I have since moved away from the house with the turf, but I still have the net. I hangs in my garage! Thanks for the post. Good memories. Here's to new memories made at the Big Convertable.

**** yeah, I did!!! Even took some turf home with me to grow (died a few weeks later, though). Man, back then we thought this was just the start of many consecutive wild card or better berths. What the **** happened???!!!

i wasn't there, but i can imagine the pandemonium that would ensue with 65,000 fans at the new stadium. What a great moment it will be.

That game was actually my very first Cards game and the beginning of my obsession with this team! I was in town from VA visiting my Aunt and Uncle who have lived here forever. I had always pulled for the Cards just because they were never very good and I always tend to pull for underdogs. That is one of the greatest scenes I have ever seen. The WHOLE stadium was red and everybody was just high fiving each other and hugging each other. Now I've moved out here and have been waiting for a moment like that ever since!

I am planning on attending a few games this year, and also i am going to attend the away game in San Diego, cause that is home. But I am hoping that something like that happens while I am there, so i can show my behind...

Yeah..I only got to rush the TV set...which was still ******** awesome after 22+ years of not being in the playoffs...and then to beat Dallas the next week was sweet...but our Denny brought us back to reality in Minny...and still is doing so to this day...:football:

As I had to go to Chicago for a wedding in DECEMBER! Anyway.. Once the kick went in, I completely lost it.. Ran, slipped and broke a closet door and on my way down also put a hold in the wall.. Needless to say.. I KNEW I was a DIE hard when that win meant more to me then the SB victory I had as a kid when I was a Bears fan..I cried and I am NOT ashamed to admit it.

I rushed and got tackled from behind like edgerrin James at the 20 yard line. I think I was the only person who got kicked off the field, but what a great day that was.

I was in the 2nd level so I stayed up there and celebrated with those around me. I stayed for like a half an hour then left because I had to drive back to Tucson.

I have to confess... I rushed the field with my sister-in-law. My wife and bro-in-law were not too thrilled! We had a great time until Joe's Posse started kicking everyone around. I still remember it like yesterday...

I've seen San Diego a few times at SDS and everybody tries to get the team to turn around to the crowd. cussing, praising, even showing **** wouldn't do it(like the Monday night moved from San Diego game many many breats that evening) any way my wife was fresh from Russia and the Cards were fumbling around and all the Cards fans were in agony this one game and My wife who hates to see me agonizing over the Cards stood up when things went quiet and shook her fist high and screamed in her Squeaky broken English" MAKE SOMETHING GOOD FOR MY KELLEY!" all the San Diego players turn around with that what the hell was that look. The Cards came to life and made some plays and The Cards earned another flawed fan for the archives.
