Anyone have any idea on how many season tickets are left to get a sellout? Obviously there is no more waiting list. Is our future going to look like SDS?

If we dont win then yes. Look at the coyotes, no one wants to drive to Glendale to see a losing team.

Well I know the drive isn't really a factor I think it is more the wins and loses. No more super bowl to hold out for, and the newness has worn off. The Coyotes have struggled just like the Cards for wins. I kinda hope it does go back to SDS crowds so I can change seats every quarter like in SDS! Although those sellout crowds are major energy to the team when they bring the noise.

Ah yes, banished to Glendale...that's not going to be the excuse, is it?
That said, gas isn't getting any cheaper and a lot of East Valley fair-weather fans won't be making that trip every weekend if it means burning fuel in line to get in and out of Glendale. And it's a little hard to buy tickets when the house is getting foreclosed...

Back to SDS crowds? I hope you're joking. If that's what you want try your local high school on Friday nights. SDS had the most pathetic attendance ever.

Ahh, come on, we can never return to the SDS days. An empty stadium at UOP would mean the end of the team in Phoenix. I would much rather be stuck in lower level corner seats watching home playoff games than on the 50 yd line watching a 10 loss season. (I sensed your tongue-in-cheek attitude) I have already predicted home sell-outs for this year. The NFL is not the NHL. If the Cards establish themselves as contenders under the new coaching staff in the new stadium, this town will get behind them. Jump on the bandwagon and pass the kool-aid, I'm going for a ride.

Place the finger off the panic button for a second and think about what we already know from the recent AZ Repungent article:
The Cardinals have already sold 55k season tickets. They're goal is to sell about 3k more. Even if they don't our attendance will be about 3k off from last season. That may mean its not an entire-sellout, but that still means about 60k people at each game.
Let's stop the SDS talk because it is a thing of the past. Besides, once we start off strong, those 3k they may not sell will move quickly.
I'm fearful of not selling out entirely, but I have no concern whatsoever of the Cardinals going back to having 20-40k for any game... ever again.
Besides, I got my seats paid for so I'll be there in the cheap seats in 423.

I guess I had not thought about the gas thing and the whole economy when I spoke to soon. The ONLY reason I liked and I mean ONLY reason I like SDS was because I could change seats.
I did not know 55k were already spoken for. That is what I was trying to feel out. I agree 60k each game this year. That will be noise and in AC to boot! 10 days til camp!
I will be amazed if we sign Doucet before camp. I think I am most eager to see Doucet perform and DRC compete in camp this year.
I assume your talkin their schedule prior to the cowpukes?

The Cardinals have announced a great idea called protect the nest. For anyone who just wants to buy the Dallas game they have to purchase the preseason game vs. Saints on a Thursday night. Also they are only selling expensive seats for the game. Now if we can just get our fans not to sell their tickets.

Sounds good to me. Way to go Cards! Screw the Cowpukes and their fans, er, I mean, residents of the Arizona Department of Corrections.

And where is this information? Single seats haven't gone on sale yet, that I've been able to determine. I didn't see it on the board. Radio?
Anyway, IF it's true, this is always a great idea. San Diego has been doing this for years with the Raiders game. But part of their thinking is that they need to put in extra security for all Raider games, so they make you pay for the privilege of causing mayhem at the game.
So yeah, if you want a big game, buy a pre-season game. Works for me.:garfield:

I just got the notice in the mail today about the protect the nest plan. Starting at $100 and up. Season ticket holders got the notices. Now when do we get our tix?
Beating the Cowpukes is like winning the SB.

"Also they are only selling expensive seats for the game."
I'm not sure that is true. The notice says "Prices will start at $100 per two-game plan". I take that to mean that they are trying to fill the upper deck since the field level is pretty much gone. The Cowboy game will not be available for single game purchase when they go on sale later in July.
Good luck,
DJ

Seems right. The seats that used to be $10 are now $25 for STHs and $50 for single game tickets. So the $100 2 game package or in the endzone corners of the upper deck.

Possibly, but I don't think so. I think Miami will sell out just because it's the home opener. Dallas will be sold out this Friday before noon. We have a Monday nighter and the NY Giants will sell out because of all the New Yorkers here with their team coming off the Superbowl.
If anything the last 3 games in December might not. If we are out of the playoff hunt people won't come but that's not how the NFL defines a sellout. As long as the tickets are sold, it's a sellout no matter how many fans show up. A playoff run would virtually guarantee a blackout free season. Here's to hoping the sellout streak stays intact!

The Viking fans should help with one more sell out. The Cowboy fans have been buying up a storm of tickets on Stubhub. It's strange that the Giant's game has been slow to date with the ticket brokers. I think that they are waiting or wishing for single game tickets to be available at the end of the month.

If Cowpuke fans have been buying up tickets on Stubhub then it's Cardinal season ticket holders that are selling them.
I recieved in the mail from the Cardinals about the Dallas game. Summarizing the post card.
"In anticipation of strong demand for tickets to the Dallas game the Cardinals will be launching the "Protect the Nest Plan" It's a two-game ticket plan which will include the Saints game and the Dallas game.
The plan has been developed in order to protect the home field advantage created by our loyal season ticket holders. This will be the only opportunity to purchase Dallas game tickets until further notice.
Dallas game tickets will not be available for purchase when individual game tickets go on sale later this month. As a season ticket holder, we are pleased to offer you an exclusive opportunity to purchase the "Protect the Nest Plan" before they go on sale to the general public."
This is a special pre-sale offer for season ticket holders.
Come on Cardinal fans let's PROTECT THE NEST!! Don't sell your tickets to Cowpuke fans :cardinals:

Sounds like a way to sell more tickets to me...whether it stops a DAL fan or not is debatable. Do they think DAL fans don"t know how to resell the tickets to the Saints game?
