just caught kurt's interview on nfl network. real interesting. he was VERY non-commital to next year. he said he would let the year end and then discuss his status with the organization. it was very "brett favre" like.

he talked about the cardinals and how they have changed the culture to a winning team. they are also a team that is not a great team yet but they are learning. he said alot of positive things about Q.

I actually thought Kurt sounded fine in it. What cracked me up is all the love Jamie Dukes gave him, saying he could win his 3rd MVP, he looks as good as ever, put up huge stats, "how could you NOT come back?" etc. because I've heard Dukes call Warner names like Mr. fumble-fingers and speak less than highly of him at different times.

Then he concluded the interview saying what a great guy #13 is. I hate people like that, I really do.

His entire career, Kurt has adopted the policy of not discussing the future or his salary until the conclusion of the season. This interview is no different and we shouldn't read anything into it that isn't there. It's not "Favre-like" at all because there is no soap opera drama and maybe this/maybe that B.S. Just a matter of fact re-iteration of his policy of not speculating as to the future while the season is still on.

I liked Kurt's "We need all the help we can get" statement.

At least we don't have to worry about complacency.

I think is shows that Dukes doesn't always think Kurt is that a great a "player", but as a human being, he's a great guy. They're not mutually exclusive.

Kind of how I feel about T.O., except the opposite. I think he's a great player, but as a human being I'd want to be around, let his mother love him, 'cause I don't.

well kurt has never seriously said in any interview that he would consider retirement. as i listen to that interview - that is what i heard. to me he talked about seeing whether he really wanted to come back and then discussing where he would fit in with the organization.
