Phoenix-based Leslie’s Swimming Pool Supply has stepped up to purchase a large block of tickets to assist the Cardinals in their efforts to sell-out Saturday’s Wild Card playoff game against Atlanta.
The tickets are being offered at Phoenix-area Leslie’s Swimming Pool Supply stores. Customers who purchase $100 or more in pool supplies will receive two tickets to the Cardinals-Falcons Wild Card game. Supplies are limited and this offer is only valid during Leslie’s business hours on Friday, January 2 through noon on Saturday, January 3. Store hours vary by location. Click here to find a location nearest you.
A portion of the tickets will also be donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Metropolitan Phoenix. Additional tickets to Saturday’s game remain available for purchase through Ticketmaster by phone at (800) 745–3000 or on-line at www.ticketmaster.com.
Fans can also purchase tickets in person at the Cardinals Tempe facility box office (open 8:30 a.m. through 5 p.m.) and at the University of Phoenix Stadium box office (open 10 a.m. through 5 p.m.). The stadium box office will also be open on game day beginning at 10 a.m.
In order to air live on local television, league rules require games to be sold out 72 hours prior to kickoff. The NFL has granted the Cardinals two 24-hour extensions, through Friday afternoon.
that is great news!!!!
lets start 5 more threads about this subject

AWESOME. WAY TO GO LPS:exclamationmark:
I live in Charlotte and don't own a pool, but I'm going to order something from them online just to say thanks. (As soon as I have some spare coin ).
BRING IT:exclamationmark:
It doesn't say they bought the remaining tickets, just that they helped. The game still isn't sold out, and if it stays that way through Friday afternoon, I'm sorry but we officially have the worst fans in the league. Obviously this doesn't include the diehards on this board, but as a whole there really isn't a contest.

I'll be there and cheering loud! The Vikings fans are melting down on their message board, because their game is almost a lock to be blacked out!!! We're only 3k short, and spread out over the whole stadium would be unnoticeable!

All these "free" or cheap tickets on line...
Why??? did I pay face value to the Cardinals. I feel ripped off before the game has even started. Only a win will help me recover from this ripoff.

What I don't understand is that every game at the UofP has been sold out...why wouldn't this one? Were away fans buying that many tickets each week?
Really wondering.

I think a lot of people just couldn't afford the rise in ticket prices for the playoffs. What was a cheap seat for the regular season turns into a luxury item around Christmas in a bad economy?
Just guessing, but am hearing a lot of people didn't pick up their options, for several reasons.

But buy some pool supplies and you'll get playoff tickets? This isn't the WNBA, the AFL, or the Pacific Coast League. This is the NFL. This is a team that's playing it's first playoff game in 10 years, won it's first division title in 33 years, and it's first home playoff game in 61 years and the only way to get a sell out is to rely on people buying shock? Miami and SD didn't need gimmicks. They sold out because their fans were excited about being in the playoffs. Economy be damned.

Do you have any idea how many fans are Arizona natives?? Over 90% of STH's are from out of state and had been a fan of another team all their lives. The Cardinals haven't built that reputation yet of being the "Home Team". Secondly, you mention Miami and SD-----SHOW ME THE MONEY Cities. Two of the weathiest in the country and you use them as an example. Gimme a break!!!!!
