2008 Playoffs
Information and FAQ

IMPORTANT PLAYOFF TICKET INFORMATION

We are sensitive to the timing of two invoices around the holidays and to address those concerns we are extending the 2009 season ticket renewal deadline from December 30th to January 30, 2009. For the Playoffs we will offer a PAY AS WE PLAY online payment option, where you initially pay for only the Divisional Game. If the Falcons should host the NFC Championship Game, the same credit/debit card will then be charged the full amount for the Championship Game tickets.

Playoff Schedule: Falcons at Cardinals - Saturday, January 3 - 4:35 p.m. ET
POTENTIAL HOME PLAYOFF GAME DATES & TIMES
NFC Championship Game - Sunday, January 18, 2009
(As the #5 seed in the playoffs, the only game the Falcons can host is the NFC Championship game.)

NFL ESTABLISHES PLAYOFF TICKET PRICES
Unlike the regular season, the NFL establishes the ticket pricing for all playoff games. These prices have no bearing on 2009 Falcons season ticket prices. Your invoice reflects the cost of your tickets for both the Division and NFC Championship game along with any parking and handling fees. League regulations also stipulate that all seats are sold as ticket sets – one ticket for each of two possible home games.

NFC Championship
Your Season Ticket Location (January 18)
Lower Prime $240
Lower Sideline $210
Lower Corner/Mezzanine Corner $195
Lower End zone/Mezzanine
End Zone/Upper Prime $165
Upper Sideline (rows 1-13) $110
Upper Corner (rows 1-13) $75
Upper Sideline/ Upper Corners
(rows 14-26) & Upper End zone $65

YOU HAVE FIRST PRIORITY TO YOUR SEATS
As a season ticket holder, you have the first right to purchase the seats that are currently in your Season Ticket Account for any home playoff game. Additional playoff sets may be ordered thru your online season ticket account found at atlantafalcons.com/playoffs. Select ‘My Falcons Account’ to log in to your account. Additional playoff tickets are sold in two game sets (Divisional Round and NFC Championship).

THE PLAYOFF ORDER DEADLINE IS HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO MONDAY, JANUARY 5, 2009
The combination of the NFL playoff format, complicated logistics and the limited time to print and distribute tickets necessitates the NFL and Atlanta Falcons to establish a deadline of Monday, January 5, 2009. Your full payment must be received in our office by this date or you will forfeit your right to purchase your season seats for any potential home playoff game. Seats in accounts not responding by January 5 will be made available to the general public and sold solely through Ticketmaster.

No They're not. All NFL Teams do this. They want to make sure that their season ticket holder base understands that the possibility exists for a home playoff game.

When the Seahawks were the #1 seed I had to purchase my tickets for the NFC Championship game, even though we hadn't advanced yet.

Same thing when were the #3 and #4 seeds. We all received notice of the possibility of the championship game being at Qwest, and that we should be prepared to purchase tickets.

It's not penciling wins, it's making sure the ticket base has their schedules cleared, and is financially prepared to lay down $200 bucks a ticket for championship tickets.

I would think given the fact that you have had to be granted not 1 but 2 blackout extensions you would understand this, and not see the need to create controversy and angst where none exists.
