I was just watching some video of them, and they do a very good job of forcing the run to the inside, then gang tackling. Edge's ability to break a tackle and make someone miss at the line is going to be huge this game...I think he is the kind of back that can give the steelers a little bit of a problem. I'm not expecting 100 yards out of him, but I think we should be able to run the ball enough to set up some other stuff on offense.

Where did I say that we would run all over you? We won't. We'll have our share of 0 yard gains, but we'll also pop off enough 5-10 yard runs to keep your defense honest which opens up a lot more things within our offense. And if I knew you, I would put a LARGE bet that we go over 50 yards on the ground.

That your defense likes to force everything inside, and minimize big gains. Edge isn't the type of runner to break long runs, but he will make people miss in the hole and get 3-4 yards a carry.

And Philly was the number 4 rushing defense this year, and we ran for 103 yards on them. We have the ability to run the ball now, this isn't the same Cardinals who can't run the ball. Will we average 100 yards a game? No. But we do have the ability to run the ball enough to keep defenses honest, which makes our receivers that much more dangerous.

The Cardinals offense is effective, whether it racks up a ton of yards on a team or not. In general it does rack up yards, but it's effective. The Cards were the #2 ranked scoring team through the division win, behind the Giants w/Plax, and that was without our run game clicking after the first few weeks.

I don't mean to play a game and I prefer debate vs argue. I've watched every game this year against every opponent. Very few times have we had success on the ground and we're playing the best defense in the league. They don't keep those stats for nothing. The number one defense vs the number 32 running game would give one every indication the run that the Cardinals success will more than likely NOT be because of their running game. Now talk about our wide outs atheticsm (sp?) and maybe we can rattle Ben with turnovers or any number of other Cardinal strengths. But the running game? No hes not ,he didnt say we would run on you but if we can run some and if you want the facts, with our passing game all we need is 63 yards rushing to be successful. Our problem when we were last in the league in rushing was not that we didnt run the ball but couldnt and theres a difference between a passing game getting by with some running support and no running support which was our situation. Now please dont make the same mistake that all the so called experts did by judging this team on what we did during the season like being last in rushing ,its obvious were much better now running the ball ,and hes right in his assessment that the way we are playing it is fare to say that if we can get in the 50 to 70 rushing yards range ,gives us a decent chance at moving the ball with our passing game . Both teams are in a situation where i beleive we havnt faced a defense as good as you and you havnt faced an offense as good as us,well see.

The Cardinal outran all of their playoff teams 333 yards to 232. We had a better running game than the Falcons, Panthers, and Eagles by 100 yards.

Actually, the one thing that both Pope and Patrick can do very, very well is catch. Their shortcoming has been blocking. I hope the Steelers underestimate them as much.

You can probably find some pretty good reasons why we were 3-5 on the road (I am fairly sure we did not play 9 games away from home), Eagles, Redskins, Panthers, Jets and Patriots. Skins should have been a win, Jets was an aberration, Panthers, ouch (but lesson learned) Eagles off a short week after a tough loss to Giants, Pats, we had just made the post season, it was cold and wet and we did not give a ****! Ditto loss to Vikings at home.

Let face it, losses coming down the straight were to teams who needed to win when the Cards did not. (it is difficult to motivate yourself however much of a professional you are).

So, along comes the post season, the Cards are healthy, and playing the kind of football that won them games with the added dimension of a running game. In the losses we identified the weaknesses of our opponents. In our wins we discovered the plays that work well.

And of course we are not the Pats of 07, but neither are we the Lions of 2008, and of course, unlike the Pats in 2007, we are not going to lose in the SB!

By the way, what is it with the Steelers Board, it is so boring!

I am on many steeler boards...The scout board is the best...the Cards scout board has like 2 people on it...so I went in search of a cards board that actually has fans that post...so I found this beauty

I like to come over here to read all the BS people write...its quickly becoming the most amusing board for me...most notably the thread on the 8 or so Cards that are HOF worthy..that one I will keep with me for quite some time


Although I can't see myself lasting to much longer being as I have been warned twice now by the mods for using the word "cry babies" and "sucks"...its REAL hardcore over here huh
