Was looking over at ASFN and found an interesting thread.

I thought about it a while about it and thought that being a Cards fan has felt different over the last month.

I'm ashamed to say that on a lot of occasions over the years I have followed our games and thought 'oh god, how many are we going to lose by today' or ' by what spectacular way are we going to manage to shoot ourselves in the foot'

But now , now I look at our roster and think how many teams would love to have our players.

For so long , it has been next year, maybe next year , but this IS our next year and to be honest Idon't know how to react!

I still keep thinking this is a dream ,did we really reach the Superbowl? But yes we did, and did it in style.

Whatever the outcome in the Superbowl, we have arrived. We will look back at the season, barring the odd game, as a great year.

Being one of the 6 teams not to have made the SB , it was almost an elite club to be in ,but we've left it behind. So although it's goodbye Detroit and New Orleans and the others , I still feel an affinity to these teams.
What I am saying is I hope will still root for the underdog , and don't become like a Patriot fan who seem to have forgotten their awful years.

Am going to enjoy this for a long long time , and will be finally able to talk a bit of smack with my Raider and Bear fans over here in the UK .

The quote from Whis to Dockett for me said it all.
When Dockett said 'no one gave us a chance ' , to which Whis replied 'you're right but stay humble'
