Folks:

You heard it here first. I am predicting that in the next 2-3 years, hopefully, by the 2008 SB game to be played at the new Cardinals stadium, the Arizona Cardinals, under Dennis Green, are going to go all the way to the SuperBowl and win it all.... and the entire story will be immortalized in a movie.

All the elements are there for a great story: the new fancy-schmazy stadium, Kurt Warner, the two stud receivers, Edgerrin James, the coach.... and the great supporting cast of Antrel Rolle, Karlos Dansby, Dockett, Berry, Pendergast, Rowen, etc.

This year's schedule looks awfully tough on paper, otherwise, I would be predicting this momentous event for this year's SB.... still doable this year, though, if they can hit the ground running and chalk up some mucho victories and a great record by the bye-week.

Well, I guess you do have a point, seeing that you are also backed up by the available stats. Apparently, the combined record last year of the Cardinals opponents (this upcoming season) was 128-128, orf 0.500.

In that case, I say, the Cardinals are taking the whole enchillada this year. How about that!!!!????

Ehmmm,... actually no. The storyline would be a treasure-trove of rich avenues for plot developemnt, to wit:

The much-maligned and previously thoroughly dissed Bidwills finally coming through for the good people of Arizona and enjoying the last laugh, thanks in great measure to their Knight in shining armor Michael. And don't forget the family sub-plot of an allegedly brief intra-family squabble among the sons for control of Cardinals affairs.

The rags-to-riches stories of the Warners, the Bert Berrys, and the great talents who were dissed into later round picks, or outright (initial) "ignominy" of not getting drafted: including the Ernest Shazors, Lance Mitchells, Darnell Docketts, Karlos Dansbys, Elton Browns, the tight ends, etc.

From the oldest and most hapless franchise to the "mostest" and cutting-edge (insert stadium here...)

Larry Fitzgerald, from Ballboy to Super- Superbowl hero....

Other potential plot-lines are, of course, inferable from the original posting.

That putative movie would definitely be a run-of-the-mill, feel-good Americana fare, replete with tales of triumph against great adversity and ridicule.

Folks, if this potential to make it big does not motivate the Cardinals to go all out in this coming season's campaign, I don't know what else can.

Man, you've got waaaaay too much time on your hands. Dredging up a post from a year ago. So you've uncovered a kool-aid drinker. Hope you didn't work hard at it because kool-aid drinking is a basic genetic quality of all Cardinal fans.

But In all fairness at the start of last season I fully expected us to push deep into the playoffs:whistle: I also think I may have only been a year early on that prediction:lollollol:

Are you kidding? This is a very difficult schedule. None of the six division games are easy, we play the Saints, Panthers, Bengals and Ravens, all of whom should be good to great. The Steelers, Falcons and Redskins are not easy games either. We have three pushovers, the Bucs, Lions and Browns. Really easy schedule :sarcasm:
