Completely happy with any of the outside guys, but Maiava is too small, and McKillop is too soft, makes most of his tackles after back has gained several yards, is drag-down tackler rather than face up guy. Neither inside guy is suited for 3-4 if we are serious about going more that way this year.

None of those guys went to USC right?

Because everyone knows that USC players are WAYYYY too good to play for the Cardinals. As long as they went to small, podunk schools and can somehow manage to withstand the intense scrutiny and pressure our fanbase applies, I'm ok with it.

Absolutely. I want to see us pick English at 31.

I love english but i've come to realize he is not 1st round material due to lb drill stiffness. He also didn't wow them at the senior bowl practices.
2. Barwin i really like. He has versatility. He could fill in now without much seasoning ala a english.

3. Sintim it seems has a bit more seasoning in a 3-4. The knock it seems is motivation. Can he play more physical in the trench? No doubt though he knows the word sick em.

4. I love usc players but maiva is a project. He needs time and seasoning.

I love all of them but i really feel barwin and sintim could help right now. And english could with better technique and coaching.

Give me English and Sidbury and I'll be a happy man.

Yeah but we need a replacement for Dansby in the middle. The Cards have to come up with an OLB that makes an impact this year and a ILB who will fill in for Dansby in his 2nd year.

I honestly don't know much about any of the LB's in this draft....

But I want to draft James Laurenitis just to say we drafted Road Warrior Animal's son.

Mayok on Nfl network is a draft god. And he said last night cards would draft English in the 1st rnd. We would use him like Pitt uses Woodley. For ILB, think McKillop or Nick Reed. Both available in later rnds.

Assuming Moreno is gone by 31, I'd be very happy with English and Stintim in the first two rounds.

If English is there sitting at 31 its a no brainer.

Stintim will not be there at our 63rd pick. Cody Brown should be there and thats my pick.

I would consider adding Michael Johnson into the mix. He is probably the best natural pass rusher to come out of college in a long time.

His upside is a really explosive move off of the ball, can get by the defender immediately. He has very long arms for knocking down passes, blocking the QB's vision and blocking kicks. Athletically gifted.

His downside is that he is weak against the run, has had injuries and may not have good stamina.

I wouldn't take him in the first round, but consider him at a later round. Would be ideal as a situation pass rusher.

I like 4 guys....1st-2nd rounds:

Connor Barwin, Lawrence Sidbury, Michael Johnson, Clint Sintim.

What if Laurinitis was there. Would you take him over a RB? I would be tempted. You would still have a chance at a Andre Brown,Javon Ringer or Shonn Green later on.

Yeah, Maiava is too small, like Lofa...Penn State might have a different opinion. The only thing that kept him from starting before his senior year was that he played behind Keith Rivers, but once he started....

Speaking of Keith, weren't you the one who said Keith Rivers was overrated? Of course, leading your team in tackles as a rookie, and stepping up as a leader on defense immediately is overrated.

Keith was in the running for DROY before his jaw was broken by Hines Ward...he certainly proved you right.

WOW!! You get your feelings hurt easily don't you.

And Lofa works in a 4-3, not a 3-4. Study harder my son!!

Im much higher on Clint Sintim than Larry English OR Conner Barwin for one simple reason......Sintim has played OLB in college and is pretty dang good at it!

With English or Barwin we would essentially be teaching them an entirly new position. If were talking about our 1st round pick we need to get someone that can come in and START...not be in the rotation or play ST.

Several scouts say that English looks akward in space and is pretty stiff in the hips...if we were drafting him to play 4-3 DE then I would be all for it...but OLB in a 3-4...NO THANKS

Barwin is the definition of a tweener! He seems like a good, high energy player....but again we dont need a ST type guy...we need an IMPACT PASS RUSHER!

That is why CLINT SINTIM should be our pick with #31 (unless there is a major slider like E. Brown, A. Maybin).
Sintim knows how to play OLB. He is a very very good pass rusher from the outside, and he is capable of making an impact in the passing game. Last year he had 12 sacks AND 3 pass break-ups!! To me, he seems like a perfect fit! We need an impact OLB....Sintim IS an impact OLB and would be a very good value at #31!

1st-Sintim
2nd-Johnathan Luigs
3rd-Andre Brown
