Last year's 30th pick Dustin Keller (TE) signed for 5 years, $12 million with $6 million in guarantees.

The 31st pick last year Kenny Phillips (S) got 5 year, $11.15 million.

The nearest RB taken was Chris Johnson at #24, and he was also paid $12 million over 5 years, but with $7 million guaranteed.

What is left to negotiate? Just give him Chris Johnson's deal and let's move on to training camp!

that sounds pretty good to me. I wouldnt be surprised if his deal is something around those numbers. I am wondering what is taking so long to get the 1st and 2nd rounders signed? as well as dansby?
Maybe that is the reason, Dansby.

Check the USA todys salary site. but I expect the incentives will be greater forcing a new contract for production like Matts and Fitz's contract. I would rather have 6 years and fair incentive escalaters.

draft picks tend to sign the first day of camp when they are at the facility. i wouldn't worry too much chances are the deal is done just not yet signed

I heard nfl net say that #1's and #2's usually sign between the 15th and the 31st of July. They said don't start fretting about holdouts until then. Unless you're hearing serious stalemate talks around the 25th and later. I would think that JaMarcus Russel would be a serious cautionary tale.
Anyway, I think only the two big name QB's have signed. Curry hasn't even signed yet. I wouldn't worry about unless they're not signed by the 30th or so.

Sorry but I disagree. Fitz was #3 overall and Leinart was a Heisman winner QB taken at 10.
If Wells contract has escalaters I doubt they would be so severe the team would be handcuffed into re working the deal. That's the nice thing about drafting #31
5 years/12 mil sounds about right. Some incentives also. I will be disappointed if we're unable to get a #31 pick signed by the 1st couple days of training camp

Graves is above te curve on the first 6! So I think It is a done deal because we picked so late. Our Quibbling is a much smallr level then say Matt,
I don't expect a signing soon.
First of all, all of Graves' attention is on Karlos Dansby until the 15th of July. If he's asking too much, it won't happen, and the FO will know his cap space is free next year, and will be able to plan accordingly.
Either way, contract talks won't involve calculators until after the 15th for Beanie.
And I don't see him holding out. I predict he'll sign on the 29th or 30th. No matter what happens to Karlos.
