View Full Version : Jimmy Johnson..."One and Done" Kiss My
I get saying things that are good tv...being controversial, but Mophead when over the line today.
Saying "stick a **** in the Cardinals, one and done." According to Jimmy one loss by 4 points and the season is over.
Unbelievable!
Did I imagine things or did the Cardinals gift wrap the
game for the 49ers? Amazing how Jimmy conveniently leaves out that the Niners had 200 yards in offense and the Cardinals had one healthy starting wide receiver.
You would think from his comments we lost by 40!
Jimmy says Warner is 2 years younger than him, Boldin is mad...blah blah blah...bite me Jimmy! You have zero credibility! Writing off a team that went to the Super Bowl after one game shows was an total joke you are.
How did the one and done Cardinals look today JJ?????
IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!

As far as I'm concerned, Jimmy Johnson can stay far away from the Cardinals bandwagon. He didn't give us a chance to beat Atlanta, or Carolina, or Philly.
We do better when he doesn't give us a chance. :cardinals:

He's a commentator, and says a lot of things. Strahan said the same thing today. Everyone is entitled to their opinions. Not everyone believes the Cards are the real deal (in fact, it seems like very few do). That's fine, not everyone needs to agree on this. Let's hope the Cards make Bradshaw look great for always supporting them, and make the other guys look foolish.
Nothing wrong with a bit of controversy though to stir up a discussion.

There's a big difference between not thinking they will make the playoffs and being ignorant enough to say their season is over after one game. There's no way to spin that statement other than you look like someone that doesn't follow the league very closely.

I hate to say it, but I kind of liked that he said that.
Maybe I'm wrong, but last year it seemed like this team was driven by the negativity. When we started off the season strong, we were getting praise from the media and we got lazy. After they started saying that we were "the same Ol' Cardinals" and "the worst playoff team in history" it seemed to light a fire that carried us to the Super Bowl.
Now, I will admit, I hate that it's like that. I wish this team could just take praise and keep their heads about them, but maybe it was this kind of disrespect that fueled the victory today. Either way, when I hear this stuff I just laugh. I know that ESPN will never consider us anything more then the "Same Ol' Cardinals."

Possibly, but a lot of people write off teams after one game (Detroit, Cleveland, St. Louis, etc.). He jumped the gun juuuuuuuuuust a bit early on the Cardinals. I'm sure he had his reasons, and we know that he's going to be very wrong, but I hope someone plays that tape back on the air in week 15 or 16, and have a camera on his face to watch his expression. Now THAT is good TV. haha.

It's one thing to write off the Lions or Rams, etc. Even their fans know they suck. You don't write off a team that went to the Super Bowl when they lost by 4 points and had 2 injured wide receivers. Jimmy may have been a good coach but he's a pretty sorry broadcaster.

I LOVE IT! Today was a good day (umm...assuming the Bills continue to pound the Bucs anyway..)
I bet ESPN will now try to talk about how "horrible the Jags are". There is no way they give Arizona any credit for this great win. However I think If the Cards beat Indy, they will jump back on the Cards so fast...

I caught it too. It's ridiculous how commentators just say over-exagerated statements like that all the time.
He ate crow on it and I'd bet you that they replay it next week in the Fox pre-game hype show since they like to rag on each other.
I heard when they showed the game highlights Bradshaw interjected "one and done Jimmy?"

I think after all the crap that was thrown the Cards way by talkshows/analysts/sportswriters, etc. during their playoff run last season, i'm now immune to anything they say anymore. Just shut up and call the highlights! :Cards logo:

it was hilarious during the pregame show when Jimmy and Michael were tearing us apart, Bradshaw was just shaking his head. He must have been thinking, "im sitting with ******". And then ever since Bradshaw just kept throwing little jabs at them, it was hilarious. :cardinals:

Jimmy said in the pregame show that the Cards were one and done and to "stick a **** in 'em". (apparently because of the 9er loss at home)...
Strahan agreed 100%....

But Trent Green said that there's no way the Cards were a fluke. He said you just don't make it to the Super Bowl by being a fluke. Too bad only Cards fans ot to see the game and hear that comment, as the Jax stadium looked half empty and I doubt we got much other coverage apart from AZ

You didn't have to wait until next week. James Brown and Terry Bradshaw spoonfed JJ's words back to him in the post-game show. JJ's response, "I was trying to motivate them." :blahblah:
You get more of the same b.s. with Mike Florio at Pro Football Talk. He's a total smartass when it comes to the Cardinals. Takes pot shots at them all the time.
He predicted they would get smoked by the Jags.
He does a ton of blogs during game day Sunday yet not one word about Warner going 24 for 26. He finally had one of his flunkies right an article on the game since he couldn't bring himself to right something positive.
We lose by four after dominating the Niners we suck.
We blow out the Jags and it's because they suck.
We can't win with the media, that's pretty obvious.

Fox has yet to even write a post game story on the game yet. But they already found time to write about the cowpokes. I bet Aikman was ticked he couldn't call the game, such a homer.

One thing to be critical, i was critical too. To call the season over, haha. Thats crazy.
In that case, the cowboys season is over too!
Why even try...forfeit the rest of the season!:lollollol:
