Thank God we are in this division. I don't care what anyone says, we are in a division that gives us a chance. While other teams are in tough divisions, we can easily go 9-7 and win this division. The Niners have improved no doubt, but we are a better team. Have faith Card fans, we got unfinished business to take care of............:Cards logo: :cardinals:

I have a strict code of ethics that won't let me say anything good about the San Francisco 49ers so I'm going to have to agree with you. :numberone:

I don't have that code...they came in here and got a win on our turf, we have all the pressure on us to even the record and stop their sweep of the division.

If we can't win the division, we know that means we're not getting to the playoffs. It's just that simple in a poor division.

Well if the 49ers keep winning, and we get our feet back under us, the NFC West won't be so poor. It would be fun to see the 49ers and Cardinals the two perennial powerhouses that battle it out every year. Although it would be much better just to leave the conquering division thing to us...

1-2 certainly doesnt show how we are better.

The dolphins last year went from 1-2 to 11-5 in the afc east.

We arent the Dolphins.

Thats right. We were better last year, and were better than them THIS year as well.

I agree with the majority of the posters on the board... 9-7 might not get it done this year with the way the Niners are playing. They are one play away from being 4-0 and beating the undefeated Vikings at home. They are already 3-0 in the division (they might be the team that thumps the division and coasts into the playoffs from the division).

The next four weeks are crucial. SF has vs. ATL, BYE, @HOU, and @IND. We have vs. HOU, @SEA, @NYG, and vs. CAR. I think at the end of this 4 week stretch we need to at least be within a game of them (which means if they go 1-2, we need to at least go 2-2. If they go 2-1, we need to win at least 3 of those 4), and then beat them at their place. If they sweep us, they will have the tie-breaker and I see little to no chance of us winning the division.

Th Dolphins went from 1-2 to 11-5 because of a trick offense. Without the wild cat, they don't win 9 games last year. I don't see the Pahokee taking the cards to 11 wins. The normal team could if they got their stuff together.

Frankly, part of our problem is thinking our division sucks and that every opponent in it sucks. If you don't respect your opponents and have at least a healthy dose of fear, you aren't going to beat them consistently.

I don't know if anyone heard Singletary's post game presser, but he absolutely has the right idea. He said he's tired of hearing about the weak division he plays in, that his team hasn't won the division in over a decade and lose regularly to teams within it. Prior to last year we were no different. He said any team on any night can beat his team if they're not prepared. No different than us.

Now, I'm not comparing coaches, I like the coach we have, but he has the right idea. Instead of hoping and continually saying it's just one game, we can still go 9-7 and win the division, instead of all that nonsense, he says they have to try hard to win every game because they're going to need it to take the division. Not squeak by, not backdoor our way in, but take it. That is the mindset you need to play football.

The hypocrisy is ridiculous on this board at times. Some people criticize the coaches or players for saying it's only one game, it's a long season, but then they come on this board and tell the rest of us all isn't lost...it's only one game...it's a long season.

That's the old Cards mentality and part of the problem. I prefer the straight up homers who say we're going 14-2. Ridiculous, perhaps. But that's how you have to think and the mindset you need in the NFL. With that attitude we may win 9 or 10 games. Without it we're winning 6 or 7.
