Its basically just the offensive line thats the problem. We all know warner is arguably the best QB when he has some time to throw, look at the vikings game, Favre had basically target practice instead of playing in a real game, think of what the Cardinals would have been able to do in that game.

The defense has to get turnovers, without them we just pass pass pass pass until the final seconds of the clock just to catch up and warner is going to get knocked around.

Also, Fitz needs to hang on to the ball, its just weird watching him drop, tip, and miss some open to moderate difficulty passes. And for god sake's somebody give beanie the ball! I love hightower, he has a lot of spirit, but you have to play the better back if you want to win...:cardinals: :Cards logo:

Get the ball out of Warner's hands ASAP to kill the pass rush.

They Key to winning is running the ball. That's why I'm worried about this game, because we simply refuse to stick with the Run.

Houston allows 165.0 yards per game on the ground. You read that right, one hundred sixty five yards per game. To put that in contrast, the Cardinals have allowed 239 yards total in 3 games on the ground. Houston sucks out loud against the Run. The Texans are #10 against the pass so far this year, so everything says we should pound the rock. Of course, the game plan should have been the same against Indy and we all saw what happened there.

It's very simple, if we get Wells in the game and give him the ball, we will win this game. We can sustain drives, keep our defense fresh, and keep their offense off the field. It's so surprisingly simple that it scares the hell out of me because I know we'll still air it out.

I hope DRC doesnt read the bold bit. If he tries to outguess Schaub, Andre Johnson will have a Fitz in the playoffs type day.

Two things are going to happen at University of Phoenix Stadium:

1. One, the Texans will run, run and run some more to try to control the ball and keep quarterback Kurt Warner and his receivers on the bench.

2. Warner and Matt Schaub will get into a good, old-fashioned shootout, and we'll get to see receivers like Andre Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Anquan Boldin, Kevin Walter, Owen Daniels and Steve Breaston go at it. That would be much more fun, huh?

If AZ is serious about getting a lead early, they can win this game. If HOU gets the fast start, look out...

The Texans are a funny team. They either play really good or really bad. :Cards logo:

Sounds familiar.

I doubt the Cards D would have a lot of trouble handling Houston's run game. I don't see why. We will likely have difficulty defending their passing game though. You're very correct about the fast start aspect.
It's pretty typical for the Cards to struggle when they fall behind though....well...if they go down 10 or more anyway. I was pretty worried about this Houston game when I 1st saw the schedule. Now, I'm not though. If the Cards lose this game to Houston and make it 3 in a row at home lost, I don't see them makin the playoffs this year. It's probably wrong to feel that way, but I can't help it. If they can't come off a bye, at home, and win against the Texans then I will be watching for the rest of the year of course, but I think I will be a lot more relaxed every Sunday.
Somehow I think they will kick Houston's ***** though.

Hopefuly the whole broken finger thing will make him want to knock the ball away rather than go for the pick 6. Coach might have screwed him up a bit with the preseason "he should have had the interception there" talk. I will take incomplete passes before the 50/50 int or big play.

I do want to point out that Shaub was 11/22 last week against Oakland who has a horrendous pass rush. Our rush is at least average. Don't let how good Indys o-line is make you think much less of our front 7. I would bet even the giants would only get 1-2 sacks and they have arguably the best D-line in football.
