Boldin is still having trouble playing a whole game or playing up to par. I think we should consider sitting him until he is healed up and activate someone else such as Early Doucet who we need to evaluate. Another possibility is activating one of our faster receivers from the practice squad. We are not getting the separation from the DBs that we need with a hobbled Boldin and the coverage that Fitz is receiving.
I know Boldin always wants to play but his effectiveness is just not there, give him a chance to heal up during this so called soft part of our schedule.

the 1 problem i see with sitting Boldin is that we will see a lot more Urban... since we love to run a lot of 4 WR sets...

I think He's down from what I've seen I hope He's back sooner rather than later.
We need to hand the ball off like 100 times in a row to balance out the season anyway.

Biggest problem with a high ankle sprain is you pretty much need a few months to completely recover from that injury. So sitting him won't clear the issue for the year. Most likley he will be dealing with this all year to some degree. Bad news for Boldin is that this is not helping his contract complaints.

If he isnt healthy coach whis needs to sit him...putting a half healthy Q out there is doing nobody good.

I thought (could be wrong) that it was a low ankle sprain. Which I hope it is.

Boldin is outplaying fitz despite running half-speed and not nearly 100%. We have yet to see all that "hall of fame off-season workouts" pay off.

DRC has a low ankle sprain I believe. Boldin is high ankle sprain. :cardinals:

I think Boldin has a compound fracture of the tibia, so he will be listed as questionable for Sunday instead of probable.
Seriously, the guy's hurt. If two or three weeks on the sideline means a healthy Boldin for the stretch run, do it. Seems like Whisenhunt is desperate to keep him in the lineup, or maybe it's Boldin not wanting to be tagged as injury prone while he searches for his big payday.

Yep I double checked it was DRC I was thinking about with the low ankle sprain. But the point is the same if Boldin is not able to go at somewhere close to 90% we need to go to other receivers and give them a chance to develop. I thought I once read that we are deep in receivers.
Too bad Garvin is on injured reserve we need some speed at wide receiver and Jerhume Urban is not showing good hands at least for this year so far.

Urbans hands may be bad but they look like jerry rice's hands compared to MRG. I think I saw him catch maybe two balls in TC.
