Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic reports that the Arizona Cardinals will have both smoke and mirrors prominently featured in their War Room for the upcoming NFL Draft on April 29 and 30. "Everyone keeps talking about smoke and mirrors, but we never see any of that on camera," said Vice President of Football Operations Rod Graves. "We're going to be giving people all the smoke and mirrors they can handle. And possibly some lasers too. Red lasers. Yeah. That'll be cool." When asked about the team's War Room decor, coach Denny Green commented: "If you want any further info, you should contact our media liaison, Joe King." Mr. King has not been available for comment.

It sounds really stupid that the media PR guy is unavailable for comment.

Why would they handle this draft any different than the last 2 drafts?
denny's been pretty much straight up for his drafts here and there's no reason to change strategy at this point.
He's the kind of guy who telegraphs his punches, without any need for the deceptions and misdirections.
He's into signing and drafting playmakers. That's what he has said, and that's what he's done.
If he says he's going to draft Earnie Sims, I believe him. However, I also believe he leaves himself open to trades and deals that could radically change that selection.

I don't think he has said he will draft Ernie Sims. I happen to believe Sims is a smoke screen for picking Greenway. Anyway, I am glad Green and Graves are keeping their minds open and mouths shut until after the draft. GO CARDS

Yes, it's all the rage this week - several Frankenthreads have been unnaturally raised from the dead. Seems to be a cadre of new posters doing this. (edit: looks like the poster who did this was banned and the post deleted, hence no new posts before Gee!'s post - I seem to recall a rather inappropriate animated GIF being part of the bumper's message.)
What I'm hearing is that they're replacing the smoke and mirrors this year with a new front projection system using 3M reflective screens.
