...and im sure you all can relate. I dont know what its like to really back a team during this game. My Cards have never been in it!!! I can only imagine the emotions that would go through my body once we reach the apex of the season. <Sigh> Ohh well, one day....:frown:

I would hope it would fell like the world series felt to me. I don't even nearly like baseball as much as football, but when I went to game two of the 2001 series against the yankees which to me were like the dark side of the force; it was unbelievable. I paid 1400 dollars for two outfield seats, me and my cousins faces were totally covered in paint ; which we got outside the BOB for fifty bucks; we went right to the bar next to the BOB and everyone was so hyped to see us we were getting free drinks left and right from the bar and the fans. We must have ended up in at least 20 different peoples photho albums, because they wanted thier pics takin with us. Outcome the DBACKS won the game and the series, and it was the greatest moment of my life.

When the CARDINALS make it there it will be beyond words, CHILLS running through my body for the rest of my life.:laola:

Its also sad because its the last game of the season .... that counts ...

But on the other hand its nice to get it out of the way so we can get to FA and start getting ready for the draft .... :Woot:

It will be great to get a break from all the pre arranged officiating the NFL has been sponsoring the past couple of seasons.
Maybe by August I can convince myself that there were logical, rules founded reasons for all the calls and I just let my emotions get the best of me.

I was tired of hearing the hype for the "lamest" Super Bowl in recent history.

Had the refs got the call right on the Rothlisberger run, the game would have been a little closer, and a little more exciting to watch!

I did enjoy complaining about the horrific officiating though......that was by far the highlight of my night.

Not me, I never watch the Pro Bowl anymore. For the Super Bowl, it's an easy choice: I always back the NFC team, the lone exception being the Rams and possibly the Redskins.

I was at Game 7 of the World Series. I have a lot of friends that moved here after the World Series and I tell them how the city changed during that series. This city felt like an actual east coast sports city. Every bar was packed. The energy was amazing everywhere you went. The sports talk radio was exciting. When the Cardinals get there one day, it's going to be amazing! Heck, I just hope the Suns can get into the Finals this year.

I don't get the hatred for the Bears. They beat us in October. It was one game, let it go. The Bears play the game the right way, and they'd be worthy champions if they beat the Colts. Every Bear fan I knew was very classy after the game, they knew they were lucky to win that game. They've outplayed almost everyone since. It's beyond me why we would root against the Bears unless you personally know someone who lives in or roots for Indianapolis. That I understand, but I can't figure out why Cards fans wouldn't pull for Chicago otherwise.

Certainly we are all entitled to our opinions, I personally find them the antithesis of what I respect/admire in a football franchise.....from their fan base (right there with NY fans) to their crappy offense; grossman has to be the biggest joke of a QB to play in a Super Bowl.....and yes, I am well aware that here have been others. Lastly, I would not be a fan of any team that calls themselves 'da bears'....certainly an indication of the collective IQ of said fans.

The bears and everything they represent is the reason I have never been an NFL fan until now.....even losing as we have, I love my Cardinals.

I've decided to visit the Getty Museum on Super Bowl Sunday and tivo the game in case the Colts win.....if they don't I'll delete it. Go Peyton, Go Colts!

How's that for a rant!

I don't hate the bears because they beat us..

For years, I have actually liked the bears. I hate the bears because of their obnoxious and stupid fans. I don't mean EVERY Bears fan of course, but that week before the MNF game was enough to make me swear them off for good. There are some cool Bears fans, a few still post here from time to time, but 90% of the fans that posted here were total idiots and I want the Bears to lose so those lame trolls will be heartbroken and cry.

This is the first year in a long time that I'm rooting for the AFC. I don't like the Colts either, but I hate the Bears. I hope Grossman throws 6 pics and reveals himself as the fraud he is, and the Colts win by 50. Grossman is by far the worst SB Quarterback of all time.

I'd rate the 1st Sunday of the regular season as the top day for NFL football and the Conference Championships Sunday to be #2. Super Bowl attracts too much of a non-football audience, people that are entertained by the commercials and half-time show as much the game. And what coverage there is of the actual game is dumbed down for the once-a-year crowd.

It will be sad when the game (and season) is over, but at least I'm not in snow country and thus won't be suffering from cabin fever. I recall what agony Februrary was up there after the football season ended.

Football season is over. Time to put this season behind us for good, nothing to do now but watch hockey.
