Hotels in the area?

I have no idea where to stay I'll be flying in from across the country for the game? Where are the closest hotels to the stadium and what are some cool bars? I've been out to SDS before but this is in a totally different area correct?

About 10 minutes from the stadium, north on the 101 on and near Bell Road you'll find about 8 hotels. Springhill Suites, I think there is a Red Roof Inn, Hampton Inn, Quality Inn, I know there is more, just can't recall the names. Lots of restaurants & bars within walking distance too. Hooters, McDuffy's, Elephant Bar, P.F.Chang's, Firebird's, dave's BBQ, Texas Steakhouse, In 'n Out Burgers, Chili's, Applebee's, Olive Garden, Red Lobster. There's more, but I think you get the idea.....

Also, you're not real close the airport, so if you aren't renting a car take an airport shuttle or try someone on here depending on when you get in...

This next year, there are supposed to be six hotels opening in and around Westgate/ the Cards stadium in time for Super Bowl XLII in Feb 2008.

I know that the Renaissance Glendale Hotel and Spa (Glendales first four star) which is literally across the street from the stadium and Westgate area is opening Sept. 2007!

Renaissance is right across from the stadium and it opens at the end of September. There is also a Residence Inn off of Glendale Ave behind Cabellas. There are a bunch of places to eat at Westgate City Center across from stadium.
